OKAY
So in only 3 days I will be leaving Perth for 6 months . The realisation that i'll be living away from home hasn't hit me yet, but i think it will soon .

The thing i hate most about travelling is the packing, it really kills me . Just put aside the clothes i'll be taking with me & o m g that is A LOT of clothes! Trying to take the bare minimum but i'll need clothes for all occasions, cos who knows what i'll need for the next half a year .

Currently having mixed feelings about going away. On the one hand, i'm really excited that jan 12 is finally here & that we are actually leaving, not just dreaming about it . On the other hand, i'm starting to feel sad about not having friends and family around for half a year . No family/friends = having to make new ones .

I guess i haven't been feeling that sad about leaving, but everyone keeps saying 'i'll miss you', 'you better come back in one piece' etc etc etc, which makes it all that little bit harder .

Alritey well it's time to start putting things into my suitcase !

ho ho ho
MERRY CHRISTMAS to you & you & you

Well tonight, the Loo family is off to Tasmania for 10 days of adventure & to escape Perth's scorching summer heat . Will be gone until Jan 5th so when i get back, it means only ONE WEEK till Julie, Rudy & I leave for our (very) long-awaited holiday! The thought is just too exciting & I really can't wait :D

Hope to be able to blog more when I'm away, at least I'll have more interesting things to write, etc etc .

OKAY!
So bye bye for now & I will blog again soon !

Sometimes no matter how many indications you get that something is bad for you, you just don't get it . It's times like these you need that extra push so that it gets right into your head .

I had this feeling for a while now but i chose to ignore it .
Okay Lynda, it's time to stop ignoring, don't be one of them stupid girls .

It's been a long time since i've updated this blog of mine ...
So in slightly less than an hour's time, I will say goodbye to 19-ness & hello to 20! Tomorrow will be spent prepping for my party on Wednesday night. Maybe Grace and Lynne will allow me to pop by the shops to browse some non-food items as well (I'm hoping anyway).

As of Wednesday, it will be exactly a month till we leave for our big Singapore/China trip . In the words of ditzy Australian/American schoolgirls, like o m g, it's gonna be sooooo big! Preparation for the trip is going well - to date, i haven't spent any money on Ebay and any other Internet shopping websites . My bank account is actually looking healthy of once! Have already started thinking about what i'm going to pack & also, I have found a family to spend Chinese New Year with :)

Decided to join Tash, Darren & some others at the beach after work. Bummed around for a bit then went to dinner at the extremely over-priced Wagamama . The food wasn't all that fantastic. Eric ordered a dish called 'Cha Han' which was pretty much 'Chao Fan' aka fried rice. Everyone else's food looked and tasted pretty average but oh well . Had Gelato for dessert which made up for the dissatisfactory dinner - DURIAN GELATO :D
Love it .

Wow just logged onto Ebay (DON'T WORRY I AM NOT BUYING THINGS) and it's all fancy now! Impressive .

Hmm anyhoo, I shall leave it here and write again ... soon . Pictures from birthday perhaps .

Because I have some time to spare ...

Work is a little slow today so here i am, just had some lunch & now i feel sleepy . Anyhoo, am in the process of planning the small party i'm having for my birthday. Decided to go with a Tiki theme - not the tacky cheesy kind though, my guests will be dressed nicely in non-hawaiian shirts. Truth be told i just wanted to have those torches lit up and put in the patio with everyone dressed nice, eating finger food & drinking punch .

Woke up on Sunday with a sore throat, might have something to do with the alcohol and yelling above the music on Saturday night ... Anyway, been trying to cough up my phlegm because it doesn't come out easily . I think i might have coughed too hard this morning cos now my chest hurts whenever i inhale . Hopefully it's nothing serious i.e. i've ruptured something , cos that would be bad .

In other news: Rudy, Julie & I booked our accomodation for China last night :D It makes things so very exciting and i seriously can't wait till we leave! Been waiting for this time of year for a long time and it's finally here .

A list of things to look forward to ...
dec 11 my birthday
dec 12 tiki party!
dec 15 Tripod christmas show @ the zoo!!
dec 25 christmas
dec 26 boxing day, more importantly the day we leave for our family holiday
jan 12 goodbye perth, hello singapore
jan 20 the day we start to live it up in China
feb 08 first (and maybe only) Chinese New Year in China
feb 18 1st semester in Zhejiang Uni begins

Okay i think it's time to get back to work .

Am just finishing up at work right now, half an hour till i get to go home - YAY .
Being thrown in the deep end of things is not the most fun thing so i've had quite a horrible day .

Apart from that, the earlier part of my day was pleasant . Had lunch with my sisters (Nick and Julie) cos Nick's leaving for Malaysia today. Well, he's probably at the airport now getting ready to board that plane. Felt kind of sad after lunch because I won't be seeing him till July next year :( That is a longgggg time without Choong Tze Jian! I will miss him.

My face has been feeling red all day, I think i'm sunburnt from the beach yesterday . Should've listened to Grace and brought a hat ... yes yes, I can hear you saying 'I told you so'.

I'm really looking forward to the weekend because it means more fun for me and everyone else who is going to be out . Tonight, a few of us head to The Leedy for dancing and drinks, yayy!

Ten minutes have passed, so now 20 more minutes & i'm out of here, tick tock .

FIIIIINISHED !!

So after today's exam, Grace and I headed to Garbo for our massage and manicure :D Feeling very relaxed at the mo'; my back pain is gone; and my nails are nicely manicured for the weekend .

Haven't really thought about what to do for my birthday just yet . Have a few ideas but feeling kind of lazy to actually plan something - will probably end up with a little shindig in my backyard .

The Leedy tmr night with the other girls should be fun, can't wait to dance dance dance!
