Dear wastigro the yellow emoticon,

Happy anniversary to you :D

I'm sorry but i haven't written you a poem (with bad rhymes) and i don't have a mushy song i can dedicate to you (aww, pity aint it). All i can say is, thanks for making this past year a bearable one & for tolerating my nonsense :) In the words of our favourite Iron Chef judge with the bow tie .... "great."

Anyhoo ... it's finally wednesday !!! which means all my assesments are over and i'm so happy !!

To celebrate, i bought myself a copy of Woman's Day to enjoy with my cup of tea. I probably shouldn't be feeling so relaxed, but i do. Not sure if that's a good thing or not.

Ok well i willl go make myself a cup of tea with milk & sugar, yum yum yum.

Late night tv is always amusing. Tonight Glimmer Man is on and it stars Steven Segal - i think. I always get him and that Renegade guy mixed up (Lorenzo Lammas?).

So anyway, i haven't been paying much attention to the movie but what i gather from the fighting and shooting and minimal dialogue is that it's one of those good cop, bad cop movies. But then again, i could be wrong and the plot could be much more complicated than that (not).

I should have been thinking about more constructive things, but all i've been thinking about for the past hour or so is what to eat for lunch tmr, and most important of all, what i should wear. The weather report says there will be showers and the maximum temperature is 18 degrees. Oh poo, yet another rainy monday :(

OH WELL.

Can't wait for post-exam shopping, although please note that i will not be the one who will be shopping. Ok maybe i will buy one or two items, but the aim is to make sure my bank account will feel less used.
Time to start saving!
Need to pay for going down south and all.

Alrite, end of my rant.
I really need some water

i am confused...
i'm feeling slightly warm, but when i take off my jumper i am cold and sneezing.

grr.
came home early so i could finish my assignment and poo (not in any particular order). i don't like pooing in public toilets unless it's absolutely necessary. especially uni toilets cos those are particularly grotty. i also want to finish my assignment before dinner time so i can go to the Wasted magazine launch party tonight :D

!!!!
today in my linguistics tute, i sat next to Jeremy (the guy who never wears footwear, even on rainy days). i glanced down to see if he was stepping on my bag, and lo' and behold! HE WAS WEARING SLIPPERS. i was very surprised and happy for his feet, cos just yesterday i was commenting to myself that i felt dirty for his feet - it was a rainy/muddy day and he was walking round barefoot.

i'm quite glad that at least he owns a pair of slippers. i also noticed that he smelt very much like cleaning products (i.e. detergent/chlorine...something along those lines). i came to the conclusion that it could be his hair gel. AND now that i think about it, he looks a lot like that geeky guy on those Seek ads - the one about the visual artiste.

ok i think i'm done now.

i can't wait to go to Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting next week :D

speaking of which, next week will be quite an eventful one.
- it will be end of 1st semester
- there will be dinner at Yahachi (and i get to wear my new dress!!)
- we are going to IKEA to shop
- by thursday morning, there will be no more assignments to do & my oral presentations for jap and chinese will be overrrr.

i know this means that exams are getting closer, but i'm actually happy that the semester will be over very soon.

i will continue to be happy over dinner, goodbye!

it is so annoying that when you don't have a car, you want/feel like driving everywhere to meet up with people.

yes, i have no car at the mo' and it sucks.
it's supposed to be ready by tuesday, and i can't wait! cos at least now there won't be anymore squeaking whenever i turn into a driveway, or turn a corner a little too sharp. AND there won't be this constant fear that the left side of my bumper is going to fall off!

oh car, i can't wait till you come back.

on a lovelier note, grace got me a souvenir from Ross Noble :D i haven't seen what it is yet, but i'm excited nonetheless (that way i can pretend that i went to watch his performance last night).

tra la la i seem to be stuck at home, which means i should probably do some work. please note that is exactly what i said to myself about half an hour ago, but look at what i'm doing now!!
i feel like watching a movie, maybe i'll go and check what movies are out.

i can't wait till the end of examssssssss

the most exciting thing that happened to me today:

Everyone had to evacuate the Reid library cos it was a fire drill, or maybe it was a real fire - i dont know. Anyhoo, there were sirens going off and a voice telling us to "make our way to the nearest emergency exit".

Ok so it only excited me for about 5 minutes, but that's how unexciting today was.
It was a lovely day though :)
- got to spend the day static head Yas
- ate fried banana (chicken treat's version of Goreng Pisang)
- ate mochi with ice cream inside :D tasty treats from Nippon fare!

Chinese assignment due at 5pm ... i have a fair bit to finish.

methinks it's bed time!

tra la la la la, come on laaadies

feel the wrath of ANGRY Dan !! rawrrr!!

such a long crappy day and it's not even over yet : (
work really sucked today, somehow all the assholes were out grocery shopping this afternoon. Add that to the fact that so many items weren't scanning properly - someone must have forgotten to scan the items on special or something. Bloody hell !!!

Then there was this woman who was rather dumb:
Grapefruits are in season and these ones seemed a bit small and looked like oranges. So i asked just to make sure, and she said, "yes, these are oranges." After i weighed them and PUT THEM IN THE BAG ... she said, "those aren't oranges, they're grapefruits." So i had to weigh them again cos oranges are at least $3 more expensive.

Just to return the favour, I packed a heavy bag for her and said, "Have a nice day! (smiling of course)" I watched as she struggled with the bag and laughed to myself, in my head.

And also, why the hell is everyone buying so many grapefruits??!!!
Yes they are cheap ($0.99 per kg), but why would you buy at least 3 bags full - that's about 15 grapefruits. Silly kiasu asians.

Anyhoo, plenty of work to be done so i will end here since i feel much better after venting.
I can't wait till tmr !!! and the day afterrr!!!!

mean & vengeful is the way to go - wooot

There is a blind girl in my linguistics class and i've always admired her for always being so cheerful and nice to everyone. Just yesterday, i noticed that she was on crutches and that she had only one leg. I was just wondering how i had never noticed it before, and today i realised that it was because she usually has a prosthetic leg. That's probably the reason why her legs look lopsided when she walks - i used to wonder why she looked like she was limping.

I still don't know what her name is, but she always comes into class looking cheerful and appreciative of people who help her dodge the tables to get into a seat in the lecture room. She seems a lot nicer than the other handicapped guy in my class ... the one who almost ran me over with his giant wheel chair. I'm not sure what kind of handicap he has, but he sits in this huuuge wheel chair (that seems like a dentist chair on wheels). He swung around and was coming at me quite quickly so i had to run out of the way, and he didn't even say sorry. I was more shocked than angry cos i've never had to dodge an oncoming wheel chair in my life, lol.

ANYHOO,
today has turned out to be a slightly better day.
i'm just sad cos there's no good tv on tonight : (

in other news,
-Lynne is practising her trombone and it seems more noisy than usual. It's giving me a headache.
-Yas shaved his head for the World's Greatest Shave and now he looks like an NS boy (somehow the word botak keeps popping up in my head). Starting to get used to it and it's fun to flick & rub his carpet-grass-like head, hoping that he doesn't generate static and zap me.

Ok, i guess it's assignment time: my least favourite time

somebody (i.e. me) has been on a constant roll with shopping. it's not my fault that i've been finding extremely good buys though!
although i must say that i'm getting better at this having-a-conscience-while-shopping thing, haha. i say that because now i feel slightly guilty for spending so much over the past 2 weeks or so.

i'm so content =D
now the only i need is a haircut (or trim, rather) ... more hair is falling out than usual, which cant be a good thing.

1 more hr till i have to go to work ...
and i feel slightly unwell.

i blame this on the hiccups, why you ask? well, if it hadn't been for the hiccups, i wouldn't have had to drink a whole lot of water. now i feel extremely bloated and a little strange.

having said this, today has been a pretty good day though :)
#1: went for breakfast with Yas at Tastings. mmm big breakfast that lasted me for a few hours. there was still time before my class started so we went to Kings Park to sit on a large tree trunk (that was conveniently lying horizontally on the ground).

#2: my skirt & necklace from ACEaffair have arrived !! i'm so happy, it really made my day. can't wait to wear them both - not at the same time though.

#3: while waiting to get picked up from Uni this morning (for breakfast, that is) ... i bought a magazine to entertain myself with. Frankie is actually not a bad magazine :) good articles and stuff. woot! indeed.

alrite gonna go eat something so i dont starve at work.
I HATE WORKING ON THURSDAYS!!

Wednesday, May 03, 2006

i washed my water bottle and now there is this horrible smell of old-lady-perfume type detergent lingering on its rim - not amused at all.
what ever happened to good ol' lemon flavoured detergent??!!
had no choice but to drink from it anyway, cos i'd rather tolerate the horrible detergent than get a headache from dehydration.

thought i was going to be car-less for a while, but after calling the mechanics today, the earliest i can bring my car in is may 16th. there goes my fretting about how i will get to work on time tmr after uni ...
before owning a car, i never minded taking the bus. but i realise that since i have started driving myself around, i'm extremely reluctant to catch the bus (partly cos that would mean a 15 min walk from the bus stop to my house). of course, this is where boyfriends and sisters can be most useful and i am thankful for that =D so thanks for the lifts!
i have nothing against walking though, i walk plenty! ok not really, but i do walk ... so i'm not all prissy (or pansy).

going to dinner and then a play tonight!
oh i am quite excited, and i don't really know why ... lol.
haven't been to a play in a while so i hope it'll be good tonight :)
might be something that i can relate to, you know, being brought up in singapore and all. i dont think that matters all that much, i just hope it'll be good !

ok well back to my assignment!
i think it might be toilet time too
looloolooo

today has been a pretty good day so far ...

- i have eaten many tic tacs (and still no sign of the laxative effect!)

- got my chinese assignment back and was surprised with a mark of 70%. was expecting a 60% or lower cos my essay was quite bad (well i thought so anyway). so huzzah, it's nice knowing that a mainland chinese person can read my essay without wanting to crumple it and throw it away.

the only part of today that i regret is drinking water at various intervals to hydrate myself, and then drinking a cup of tea cos i was cold. all this resulted in me having to pee even more than usual! bahh, my bladder is so weak. i don't think anything can be done to strengthen it, hmm. is that the right way to talk about my bladder?

doodoodoo, i can still taste the orangey bits of the tic tac i had a while ago ... mmm =D
go tic tacs!
