eeks, weird weather today !
all of a sudden it's cold and rainy. hmmm. where did the sunshine go?! away for a holiday it seems.

it's a good thing this stupid nose of mine is getting unclogged :) spent most of today blowing my nose, and as i was doing that, my ears kept popping ! haha. quite a strange feeling ... but yes, the nose is slowly unclogging itself . huzzah!

awww damn. was getting all excited about going paintballing on saturday, but apparently it is now cancelled. so let's all blame sam's brother's stingy friend. hopefully we (the 1st year asia ppl) will still go.

ok i think i should go to bed now... driving lesson at 9am tmr. AAAARGH. early.

heehee. well nic has kindly pointed out to me that i haven't updated since ... sunday ? haven't had anything interesting to say lately . so yes , pardon the non-bloggingness .

anyhooo , asia commitee bbq today was quite funn even though the weather was a little ... gloomy. we took many photos (for we are photo whores) and they're on tina's blog . so if you'd like to see them please click on her link to see them . i apologise for the inconvenience as i cannot be arsed to upload the photos onto shutterfly and what not.

hmm. looks like i'll have to stay home tmr to start on my assignments, but of course i welcome any phone calls ! especially if they have to do with procrastination ! ( i hope that was a big enough hint) in other words , please save me from utter boredom tmr !! i'm not fussy.

ok this is going to be completely irrelevant to the above , but i'm starting to wonder why i'm not noticed sometimes. hahah. what i mean is that sometimes i wonder what my special qualities are - you know, the ones that make people notice me.

for instance, other girls get to be loud, funny, absolutely beautiful ... but no , not me. i just get to be short. i suppose sometimes it's something that gets you noticed, but it's not exactly the best one i don't think. although someone today thought i was in 2nd year uni :) such a change from being asked what year of primary/high school i'm in (POO to those ppl btw).

ohh and btw, i wasn't fishing for compliments ok. it was just a thought.

does my typing actually irritate you guys? i mean apparently i have excessive spacing and use of vowels. e.g. oooook.
i'm just wondering if it's difficult to read or whatever. i'm trying to have normal spacing now ... although this doesn't really apply to msn because as some of you may know, i hate using emoticons (unless it's absolutely necessary). i dunno, i just think that they're kind of ugly that's all.

okie dokes, i think i've ranted enough for tonight.

ok ! the best part of the river cruise ... PHOTOS ! yep , they're up in the links . go NOW !! alrite well you don't have to ...

oook so msu river cruise is overrated (as expected) and it was funn for a while . got boring and lame towards the end cos the music was pretty shit and the dancefloor was getting smellier by the minute - sweaty bodies and what not .

the sad thing was that there were no hot guys . geez . you would have thought that out of the entire asian population that went there would have been at least one hot one to stare at .. but no. all i got was this one weird drunk guy (also known as alan the asshole) who asked me to kiss him just cos he bought me a rose . after i said no he complained that he couldn't get any girls and that the only girls who will take him are the older (and more desperate) ones . HAHAHAH . i felt like telling him that no girls would take him cos he's ugly , obnoxious and loud. alan the asshole just got upset and went to find some other girl to hit on.

later on that night he was spotted trying to chat up one of tina's friends ( i think it was joyce) , he saw me sit down with the others and was very upset. hahaha. idiot. but yes, there were all kinds of ppl there ! i.e. drunk ones , creepy ones , ones who refused to dance.

soo yeahh . don't think i'lll be going to another river cruise ... cos you're stuck on the boat and that really sucks . besides , what good is it if you can't even drink to make yourself happy ! just cos you're underaged and the river cruise ppl were so strict. went for karaoke after , and was so irritated cos the shoes i was wearing gave me massive blisters . ended up walking barefoot for the half the night , which is really disgusting i know but i had to ! the skin was all raw and stuff (sorry for the imagery) .

also , lots of scary ppl in the city at night. all these homeless ppl yelling at each other for stealing each other's things, and sometimes they were just yelling. sooooo weird.
grr and now i think i'm getting a sore throat cos my throat is starting to get itchy. noooooooooooooooo !!

it's so bloody hot today ! 36 degreeees ... -sigh- and i have my driving lesson soon as well . AHHHHH . the heat is killing me , and probably everyone else in perth .

anywayy , that is not the main point of this entry . what is it you ask ? well that's what i'm getting to now ... patience you guys .
OK so the other day , a member from the electorial council came to our house to check to see who lives here . apparently the previous owners of this house (the Sharlans) went to vote the other time and insisted that their address was 106 jackson ave. sooo those ppl just let them vote anyway .

so when the guy came over to check , he was extremely shocked that our family has been living in this house for 3 yrs now and that we still receive the Sharlans' mail - i.e. the police asking them to pay their traffic offences and stuff if not they'll get arrested . dad gets so irrtated that he just throws all their mail away ( "aiyah let them get arrested ! so annoying." - says dad) .

we're all just speculating as to what the Sharlans are up to right now , e.g. where they're staying , why they don't pay their fines and why they're insisting that this is their residential address . it's quite possible that they're squatting illegally somewhere ... or are homeless and/or living in a cardboard box.

heh . why did i suddenly think of this you say? you see today on the bus home from the city , there was this guy who had really long curly hair and a big bushy beard (you could say he was rather kempt. heee.) . he was also carrying a whole bunch of discarded plastic bags from various shops in the city and inside one of the bags there was this really old shoebox . there was also bits of random cardboard in the bags. hmm . ohh and he was also eating a packet of kitkat bites .

he smelt quite bad and looked rather shifty with his numerous bags . haha . this is rather mean but i was just thinking that the guy could have been ONE of the Sharlans ! hmm yes . so that is my story for today .

ok back to complaining about the weather - bahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ! it's so hot ! aaaargh .
oooh and huuzzaah tina ! you're coming to the river cruise :) we can all get ready together , seeing you tonight and tmr anyway . hahah . ooh dear , will we ever get sick of each other i wonder .

Hot Autumn Night this year wasn't too bad . . . tod johnston's band played better songs than last year that's for sure .. hahaha . so they were pretty good :)
jill and danniii were there also and it was nice to sit there and not perform for once . lol . kind of miss playing with swing band and all ... and Whaa Hapen !! i reckon we're still better than the year 12 band - they got a bit boring after a while . didn't play songs you can dance to ...

well that's about it ! haha .

today felt like the longest day EVER . i don't know why . i'm so happy i have no uni tmr ! woohoo !
i'm usually quite tolerant of the dilligent mature-age students (heh , what an oxymoron) , but this particular one in my french class is especially irritating . her name is melissa and let me tell you why she irritates everyone in class .

well it's great , melissa , that you put in so much blooody effort in french and that you know so much already . but everyone would appreciate it if you didn't sound so smart alec-y all the time , asking the teacher questions in that stupid voice .
m : have we learnt this yet? i don't think we have ! because i dont remember doing the exercises on it.
teacher: i'm not sure , but we'll just go over it anyway .
m : oh okae . good . cos i thought i was behind or something . *laughs*

pain in the ass .
you can see people behind her rolling their eyes each time she does that . ohh and today , she happened to be sitting directly in front of me and i noticed that her huge bum fills up the entire chair. it's really gross . what's even more gross is that her beige g-string was peeking out from her incredibly huge jeans. YUCK .

she was disgruntled about not getting 10 out of 10 for the first dictation test and so asked micheline (the teacher) many questions. after which she got out of her seat and waddled out of class .

i , on the other hand , am pretty happy with my mark . i got 8.5 out 10 . hahah. although today's dictation was horrible and i don't think i'll do very well .
ugh . my nail polish is chipped . . . now my nails look bad . poo .
well , more updates later perhaps !

ahh !! there's something irritating my right eye !! excuse me while i try to get whatever it is out of there .
ok back . just in case you wanted to know : it was an eyelash .

well well , only 2 hrs in uni today and they seemed to go by reeeally slowwwly . yes , say it juuust liikeee that - onomatopoeia is what you call it , an iconic aspect of language . hmm , ooh ah , i actually learnt stuff in the last linguistics lecture . lol . speaking of which , i have yet another assignment due this week . geez . and this one's even more vague than the last one .

during today's tute , daniel (our tutor obviously) , asked if we had any questions about the assignment and nobody asked any cos we didn't know what questions to ask . haha . everyone just kind of stared at the assignment sheet blankly , hoping that he would at least pick that up as a sign . but no .

ohh yes and on the way to the bus stand at the bus port , i noticed this asian food place that sold curry puffs and what not . guess what else i saw on the stands where all the prawn crackers were and stuff . . . (ookk i'm giving you time to guess , come on !) . . . (ok fine i'll tell you) . . . SUPER RINGS !! if you're thinking of those freakishly bright orange rings , then yes , you are absolutely correct . mmm mmm . so of course i bought a packet and ate some just now while reading my incredibly boring book for european studies .
*side note : i didn't finish the entire packet , i left some for my wyrd systers . so if either of you are reading this and have not yet discovered the SUPER RINGS !! then , erm , they're on the kitchen counter .

since i was rejected by colesmyer , i decided to sms sarah to ask if there were any vacancies down at Action . according to her they're quite desperate for staff , so she said to go drop by resume off with the supervisor . and i did . hopefully what she said was right . reeeally need a job dammit .

aaaaahh . i actually have work to do , but i think i'm going to procrastinate . haha . for a while more at least . the linguistics assignment requires much thinking and the european studies texts i'm supposed to read aren't exactly very stimulating . soooo i'll just sit here and twiddle my thumbs perhaps , or i'll just type . cos i can't do both at once .

alrite alrite . my guilty conscience is telling me to start on my work . -sigh- bloody conscience . one more thing ! (i promise this will be the last) i always wonder why people on public transport smell , especially at the end of the day. i'm very amazed at the number of aussie men who don't use deoderant when necessary . i mean for goodness sake , you smell really bad and other people dont want to sit next to you . is that a big enough hint ?!

haha ok so i was up for most of the night reading the da vinci code , cos it's getting quite exciting . don't even remember what time i fell asleep , and when i woke up this morning i lay there for 5 to 10 mins trying to recall what i had to wake up for .

met someone new today in linguistics - this s'porean girl whose name is tricia , and she was my lunch buddy today . haha .

hmm and apparently i didn't get into the ASIA committee . oh well . a tad disappointed , but doesn't matter .

ooh . had gelato just now with mum and nette - tasted real good . as it should .

i like living on my street cos it's nice to people-watch while i'm at the computer . and guess who happened to be leaning against the lamp post outside my house today ! (this is where you guys try to guess) ok well it's unlikely that you would have gotten the answer , but it was Attilio ! *grin* he's cuter now , cos his hair's grown back and his dressing's improved .
but of course , lynne was yelling at me for "perving" on him . geez , i was only looking . . .

only 2 tutes tmr then i'm done for the day ! better get started on my linguistics assignment though . -sigh-

was talking to a friend online just now , and he pointed out that i always type words with Os in them like this (for example) : ooook . hahah . the multiple letters in one word and i really don't know why .

anyhow , i shall not talk about that any more cos it's not very interesting . obviously . hmm . i'm a very happy girlie today ! and it is for the following reasons :

1) i used the $100 voucher for Fiasco today and bought a skirt and top :) it was great ! cos i could use it on sale items as well . -big grin-
2) i am now the proud owner of a new pair of sunnies !! at last . no more squinting for me !!
3) this one i cannot say right now . . . sorry ! but i guarantee you that you will all (meaning ppl i actually know) soon know .

ooh ooh . finally watched 'american history x' last night . been wanting to watch it for so long and now i have ! it's not as disturbing as i thought it would be , but it's very sad . edward norton does a really good job at being evil as well . speaking of evil , anthony hopkins is good at doing that too in 'silence of the lambs' - that look in his eyes and his voice .

ok i think i should stop rambling now cos even i'm getting sick of seeing it . hahah . ooooook , off i go ! shall concentrate on my scrabble now .

i don't have uni tmr , so the first week of uni for me is officially over ! ahaha . will probably stay over at grace's house tmr cos we have many many videos to watch before we have to return them on saturday ( i think) .

oooh ASIA bbq today and i won a $100 voucher for Fiasco :) yayy . at least now i have an excuse to buy something/somethings on saturday . although im pretty sure Fiasco's things aren't cheap , but hey , i got some free money ! sort of .

met some of tina's fellow pharmacy-ians today . yes i know , i just made that term up . haha . but i couldn't think of anything else to call them . anyhow , the world is sooo tiny ! turns out the girl susan knows this guy who's also doing arts and he was in my host group . haha . nice bunch of people and it was nice to see edmond again after so long .

anyhow . i shall try to recall as much as possible .
got to uni quite early this morning cos i caught a lift from nette . wasn't actually planning to go , but i had to sort of out that stupid enrolment thing with my chinese unit . so now that i have lodged my application , i'll only find out in a week's time . so hopefully everything will be fine . meanwhile , i'm just going to go for the chinese 205 lectures and tutes so as not to waste any time .

spent the rest of the morning reading on the lawn . had so many hours to kill before grace and stef were done with their classes . after much walking , i decided to just buy the da vinci code to read since i was in such desperate need of entertainment . well not really entertainment , but you know what i mean .

twas a nice day to be out today , so sitting on the lawn to read was a pretty good way to kill time . it was also amusing to watch the ducks and seagulls chase and fight each other food . actually , it was just the seagulls that were attacking the ducks whenever they found some bread skins . poor cute ducks . i've decided that seagulls are the most unpleasant creatures ever (besides things like bugs and smelly people , that is) . why you say ? well they're noisy , irritating , viscious and not to mention UGLY . what i really want to do is to make them explode - oh don't you worry , one day i shall . muahah .

so after a few hrs , grace and stef were finally done . headed down to the city with grace where we pigged out on fastfood . eek , so going to put on weight again . i'm hoping all the walking will make it all better . -sigh- the search for a new pair of sunnies was futile , once again . i'll just have to make do with squinting now . . . geeeez . maybe i'll have better luck on saturday ! *fingers crossed*
