had a thoroughly enjoyable day today :) with most of it being nette and linda's birthday bbq... many silly photos were taken, of course. but here is one of our family: awwwww. the Loo family, dog and all =D

anyhooo,
just got back from Awards Night, and i must say that this night has made me all nostalgic about last year's.

this time last year it was our 2nd last day of school, and in the afternoon after rehearsals, all the year 12s gathered in the courtyard to scream, sing and jump around to our supposed 'leavers songs'. to tell the truth, i didn't like any of the songs and i didn't understand that tradition. i still don't, but it was fun and a good way to lose our voices.

then Awards Night came and whaa hapen were the main performers. everything else was good (concert band, orchestra, swing band, etc...) and i thought it was one of the best performances any of us had ever put on. i honestly enjoyed every single bit of it till the very end :) oh, the memories. although i still haven't watched the dvd of the night, and i really want to, cos i want to see what our performances looked like from the audience's point of view!

it was really nice to be able to be an audience member for once, and i must say that tonight's Awards Night wasn't as boring as i thought it would be. for one, mrs. pitos's speech seemed shorter and less boring than usual and the guest speaker was very entertaining - mostly cos he made fun of many people (including mrs pitos and kim beasley, whom i'm sure was there but nobody really cared anyway). the performances were really good and i felt very proud. haha.

oh, i don't think she'll read this but CONGRATULATIONS to ursie for receiving so many awards! extremely impressed and i would definitely give you a big hug, cos i know you love those. haha.

hmm what else what else, oh yes. today also marks 5 months for me&yas, huzzah! had our celebratory dinner on saturday night - what better way than to celebrate at Jaws, especially since he had a voucher. tasty indeeed.

alrite well i think i will end this extremely lengthy blog entry.
haven't had one of these good days in a long long time :)

i would say today was quite a nice day =D
officially the last day of uni & of being a fresher i suppose. hahaha. not really looking forward to the exams (but then again, who is). i guess i better i start studying.

went to the city with grace after, walked around and spotted more nice stuff that i really want to get. oh i can't wait till i have money for cd shopping and the like. the job hunt remains unsuccessful, so hopefully things will pick up soon and i'll be able to secure myself a job as soon as the exams end.

had a mean guy for my driving test the other day, so i failed. ahhwell, next test: nov 28th. that's not too far away, i hope i pass then. i REALLY want to get my license dammit!
anyhoo, not sure if you'll read this, but HAPPY 18th BIRTHDAY wishes to ASHLEY :) hope you had a great day, ash.

parents have gone for a retreat and the house is extremely quiet now (especially since lynne's gone to stay over at a friend's house).
now waiting for yas to bring some desert over =D

i always knew Reid library cafe had some weird sights...

sighting #1: a jap-looking guy (who was rather cute) eating a 4 layer sandwich that looked like it was filled only with really green lettuce.
*mental note - he was sitting with 4 geeky to only average-looking girls, and there was one who sounded quite manly. oh, what a shame.

sighting #2: fucking seagulls. hate them. BAHH!! stupid creatures flying everywhere... and they fly low as well!!

sighting #3: a duck near my table was trying to eat a piece of cardboard.

sighting #4: these 3 people who were trying to get rid of a 'latch'. after some eavesdropping, i found out that they told him lies (as in made up stories) and then said that they had a tute to go to. after being left alone, he sat there looking around for more victims then left.
*side note - i think he was the same guy whom yas & i saw pacing up and down practising a speech for a presentation just a few hours before. hahah.

sighting #5: this man who kept getting up to get coffee and/or tea every half an hr, sat down to one of his coffees and lit his cigarette with a match. ok fine, it was amusing at the time.

as for the rest of the day, i was fortunate enough to be trapped on the window seat surrounded by some smelly people on the bus. arghhh, stupid people on public transport... TAKE A SHOWER DAMMIT!!

ok i shall go now.
driving test tmr morning!!!
hope all goes well.

was feeling extremely hot and bothered all day today, oh and also slightly viscious - one of those violent-i-want-to-punch-something/someone days. it was something i thought a bowl of hot udon would cure, but no.
well the udon was lovely, but the weather was not.

hmm did some survey today at uni about IRIS (some library research unit) and got $10, a packet of chips and a can of coke. yayy! who doesn't love free money and food.

at least the computer is back and i am currently ripping music, for some reason this has lifted my spirits. haha.

last week of uni coming up... ahhhh!! 3 more assignments left, should probably do one tonight cos i've put this particular one off for ages now.
ah yes, yas is moving house tmr and i bought those little round biscuits with sugar on top =D hmm, sugar also makes me hungry.

last rant of today: i need a job dammit.

hello, good day!
yes it has been a while since i have updated.
first things first,

H A P P Y B I R T H D A Y to YAS for yesterday :) didn't get to use the computer yesterday, so there you go. hope you like your presents ^^ (and i'm sorry those words aren't in yellow. yellow on yellow doesn't work very well)
btw, i have evidence of your funny glowstick dancing. allow me to refresh your memory, cos i'm sure all of that was a blur. haha.

anyhoooo, the weekend is nearly gone. already. 2 more weeks of assignment-filled uni, then exams. and then it's all overr!! oh i cannot wait.

meanwhile i have spent the day reading harry potter in bed and then watching Survivor repeats - oh how lovely, but also very lazy. amazing how just one episode reminds me how much i dont like southerners.
currently waiting to go get dinner as we are having KFC (are you, tina??).

ok i have run out of things to say, so that will do for now... i apologise for the boring entries.
GOODBYE for now

very disjointed, i apologise

as my linguistics assignment waits to be completed, i sit here listening to the strokes and reading white ninja comics (well i was, until i started blogging). feck, i have yet another ulcer - this time on my tongue. funny, i was about to say blister.

tonight i will probably spend my time tweezing and painting my nails. hmm and i really want to eat apple strudel... been thinking of that lovely light pastry. mmm.

apparently samson looks like he's wearing a dress cos mum and lynne are shaving his fur and they stopped halfway. lol.
okk, back to the assignment i suppose :(

|

finally played tennis today, even though it rained once in a while, it was still good =D didn't suck as much as i thought i would too! probably been a year and a half since i last played... haha.

hmm. i know this is reeeally way in advance, but if you haven't booked your end-of-year holiday yet, then please only leave after dec 11th. why you ask? well because it is my birthday! decided to have a bbq in honour of my 18th, so all my friends (that's you guys) are welcome. more details much later... but just keep it in mind. mark it in your calendars if you must: lynda's 18th BBQ

ok i should probably get back to my assignment now... have to email it to my tutor asap. BLAAAAAAARRRGHHHHH...

hark, i have sighted stupid things!

sighting #1: these asian people at uni today wearing this shirts that said "I am a tile in the Cultural Mosaic!" and yes, it looked exactly like that. LOL. stoo and i wanted to be tiles too. no photos were taken cos they kept moving around and our phone cameras can't zoom in that much.
they were wearing the shirts cos it was some sort of multicultural festival or something. also, the mc was this short funny-looking geeky asian guy who tried to make things sound more exciting. it was very funny, so we laughed at him.

sighting #2: this chubby asian guy carrying his gf's white handbag on his shoulder (juuust like a man bag). firstly, the girl was wearing these clothes that looked too big for her - even her shoes. they weren't dressed very nicely, and the bag was so small, why couldn't she have carried it herself??!!

hmm.
why are the aforementioned stupid things involving asians? grr, why must some asians be so dumb. oh yes, while waiting for our bubble tea we went to look at the MSU ball photos cos julie said she took some. instead of looking out for her photos (which we never found), we ended up laughing at ppl. really does prove my point about some asians being typical asians. them and their weird cutesy poses *shudder* RETARDS, ALL OF THEM!!

argh. okae, enough anger for now.
there's too much sugar in my system... i think the sugar's making me lash out and be unpleasant.
should probbaly get some water, that Ultimate Summer flavoured bubble tea gave me a headache.

sago and jelly... heeeheehee.

so random

someone rang dad on his office phone and i picked up since i was sitting nearby. when i pick up, the guy goes, "who's calling?"
was confused for a second cos if i'm not wrong mister, YOU were the one who rang. after the conversation going back and forth about who it was on the other line (cos i kept asking him who he was), turned out to be a friend of dad's. what the...

something else random that audrey just told me: Action (at garbo) is now known as Drumstar. HAHAHA. reminds me of ice cream. or chicken.
speaking of which, i've been eating plenty of chicken over the last few days - i really like Nando's. in case you wanted to know, i am back to eating normal amounts of chicken at Nando's.

i had some other things i was going to say, but i can't for the life of me remember. grrr, it's been happening a lot lately. lol. turning into an old lady - forgetfulness, aching back. so many ailments.

anywayyy, should probably ilecture it now. stupid ilectures *mutter* *mutter* and i only didn't go to this lecture cos of a clash, so i have a legitimate reason!

"stop beating round the mulberry bush, mulberry bush, mulberry bush..."

stole some photos off tina, so now you guys get to view some photos from cocktail on friday night. haha.

arghh, tis back to uni again tmr. bahh. have a chinese mid sem too, i think. somehow nobody else knows about it, so i'm not sure if it's still on. hmmm. if it is, then greeeeat. i've started studying for it already though.

friendster has this new feature where you can look at the people who have viewed your profile recently. creepy yet interesting, i would say. just means that people will know when you've been a busybody. hahah.

oh i miss the weeekend...

so cocktail is over... ahhh!!!
it was a pretty good night, i must say. plenty of alco-ma-hol and dancing =D and everyone said that committee dance was good too! yayy. apparently the fire tosser guy (i think that's what he did) was really bad, but i didn't watch his performance cos i was getting changed. the BBoys were really good too.

the only disappointment was that it was so difficult to find people all the time cos it was soo crowded. arghhh. kept losing people (i.e. julie for half the night) and it took so long just to get drinks too.

anyhooo,
most of the night was a blur but overall it was good fun.
head feels slightly strange at the moment, so this will be it for now. lalala ok, hungry gonna get some lunch or something.

mmm fondue tonight!
