There are quite a few things to be done, and yet i don't really want to do them. It is a Friday night and for once the rest of my family is out, and i am not.

Went late-night shopping in the city with friend Grace and it seemed to be a night out for crazy Christian evangelists cos first there was a group of them singing hymns then there was this guy (who might have been the same one we saw in northbridge a while back) telling everyone about how they should 'believe in Jesus to be free'.

The singers had a handwritten sign pasted on a piece of luggage, didn't really pay attention to what the sign said but i did notice that they had a handicapped man in a wheelchair playing the tambourine (very badly). It just looked very sad.

Didn't buy anything today, although i've found patterned shorts!!! It made my day. The downside is that they're wayyy to expensive (i.e. $150) . Even if i use my 10% discount it'll still be over a hundred. bahhh. Fiasco also had these cute dresses on sale. Tried on the limited edition sass & bide shorts just to ease my curiousity of how they would look on me, even though it wasn't my size. Saw them on ebay a while back, i think they've already been sold.

Come to think of it, our only purchase today was a packet of those Cadbury easter eggs which cost $3.30. They were really tasty but made my throat all phlegm-y.

Oh yes, went to Mambo last night at Paramount. The venue was good, but I think there were too many of those singaporen students who never go out but decide to cos it's an SSS (Singapore Students Society) clubbing function. A lot of them danced funny and almost all the girls looked the same ... black top, jeans, heels. Hehe there was a funny drunk who looked very manly (and was whining about how she missed some guy), we later saw her getting it on with one of the many sleazy white guys there. I guess some ppl really enjoyed Mambo ...

Bed time methinks.
ho hum.

fuck, i have fallen sick.
woke up this morning with a sore throat, which got progressively worse throughout the day. On top of that, my sinus has become a full-fledged cold i think. dammit!! i hate being sick.

Finally sent my stool sample to the lab this morning for testing and it was probably the grossest thing I've ever had to do. Really wonder how nurses in hospitals can do that sort of thing, i thought it was so disgusting to do for myself ... can you imagine getting someone else's stool sample??!!

Anyhoo, the results will be out in a few days - i really hope it's nothing serious. Taking Zantec has worked though, haven't felt the urge to throw up lately :)
Oh why are there so many things wrong with my body and its immune system ...

Time to eat dinnerr.
mm chicken.
i'm starting to miss Nando's !!! :(

work was pretty busy today, i think it was mostly cos we were under-staffed.
anyhoo, there were some pretty interesting ppl about today ...

1) this cute little old lady who bought a bag of carrots. she kept calling me love and had these rosy cheeks! haha. she was so cute and she also seemed very happy when i said, "have a nice day!"

2) a really huge lady who was seated on one of those motorized wheel chairs (the ones that i want). i felt really sad looking at her cos she was so large that i didn't think she'd be able to walk, which might be the reason why that is the only mode of transport. had to help her put her groceries into her 'boot' - this black bag that was attached to the back of her chair.

3) this young-ish couple who couldn't stop kissing each other. it was really uncomfortable for me, cos i was facing them. they just kept smooching each other!!

gotta wake up early tmr. grrr.
bringing my car in for repairs and doctor's appointment.

American Dad is on tv! yay.

oh it is hot outside, perfect day for a swim =D

watching the Commonwealth Games and the swimmer representing Singapore looks flabby! he didn't do too badly though, he wasn't last at least.

didn't end up joining the rest of the ASIA people at the beach, cos we went for a family lunch at Dao Vien (hehe latch). Dad just got back from singapore last night. Speaking of which, my grandpa is going to be discharged from hospital soon. Quite happy to hear that, although i hope him and my uncle don't drive each other nuts since they'll be staying together.

tmr is monday, which means it's back to uni. boo... at least i only have 2 classes tmr. both of which i don't mind, simply because i don't have to participate.
hmm i wouldn't mind going for a mini shopping trip beforehand though. any takers? (i.e. grace)

alrite going to shower now as i am still chlorinated.

i'm not exactly in the mood to type in paragraph form, so point form will have to do.

  • there seems to be an ant infestation in our house. ants make me itchy and paranoid.
  • it's been less than a week since i've painted my nails and they're chipping already, grr.
  • am currently typing a letter to beloved Woolworths, letting them know about the change of my employment (part time to casual, that is). i keep retyping bits of it cos it sounds like i'm reluctant to work.
  • subway cookies are a good snack =D
  • i think i like apple and guava juice.
  • working tmr from 1-6pm. ohwell, at least there is the monies in the bank account to look forward to.
  • i've been in a very giving mood and feel like buying ppl presents. but i haven't bought any yet, so umm, just wait a while and you might get one!
  • sometimes it's hard to tell whether a girl and a guy are actually a couple, or if they're siblings. this has happened 2 days in a row now!

that is quite a few dot points, i'm surprised at how much i had to say. i would end with a fancy/mushy rhyme or poem, but i'm not as good at it as some other ppl are. hehe.
