today was a mix of emotions - happy and sad.
sad:
lita's leaving us.
she's going back to korea on thursday.
= (
we're making her something to remember us by. hehe. hope she likes it.

happy/funny:
(1) my trumpet lesson today was quite a success. yipeee.
(2) had yet another interesting math lesson with amy. math lessons without amy are really boring actually. lol. i miss her when she's not around.
(3) shaun has a lift back home from the dinner dance venue on friday.
(4) our transport problem is solved. [for the dinner dance]
(5) i finally have shoes - silver ones. courtesy of my auntie. the only problem now is, that i have 2 pairs of really nice shoes which i can't choose from. decisions decisions.

ahh. i think i'm done now.

haven't really been updating.
just not really in the moood i guess.

well nothing much has happened these past few days, my life isn't too exciting.
the most significant thing would be that the computer keeps screwing up!! it's really annoying me!!
msn's simply refusing to work... ?!@#$

played some cricket in our backyard today and it was quite funny. we lost all 4 of our cricket balls after a while - 2 were on the roof and 2 were hit into our neighbours' houses. But before that, the game was quite exciting. lol. Lynne hits the ball and it flies onto the roof...
lynne: it's on the roof! woohoo.. i hit the ball!
-starts jumping around-
lynne: oo! oo! it's rolling down! it's rolling down! run! run! run!
-scamper scamper scamper-

After the 4th ball was hit into our neighbour's backyard [i think this one was courtesy of nette], we decided to go inside and have a break. Played some foozball after that. Then we went to church for the World Youth Day mass. Nette, adit and i are going to apply to go Cologne, Germany for World Youth Day in 2005!

yesterday afternoon, some people broke into church and stole $7000 worth of music equipment. i.e. the mixer, some mics and leads. *tsk* to those people. O and they also stole the chalice and some sacred items. That's so terrible, stealing from a church.

well, going to try and restart the computer... for the 2nd time... in the hopes that msn will decide to work again.

o yes.
my grandfather's now out of i.c.u. and seems to be back to normal again.
it seems that the collapse of his lungs was most due to smoking so continue to pray for him.

|

the computer can be such an annoyance!

case one: just when i was ready to start on my english journal entries, the computer decided to start screwing up. So i save my work and restart the computer.

case two: okae, so i've just restarted the computer and now everything's taking really long to load. Then microsoft word hangs... and refuses to close... even after pressing ctrl alt del.

case three: finally i'm connected to the net. I'm replying an email to tiffany and i've just typed up a whole lot of stuff telling her some wonderful news, and then it hangs. There i was, praying that i won't lose all that stuff i've just typed. ctrl alt del. I didn't have a choice, nothing was moving.

*poof* now that email is gone and i will have to start typing it up again. But of course, i'm really not in the mood to start my story all over again so i'll have to tell tiffany about it tomorrow.

Went to the Coke factory today [by Coke, i mean Coca Cola]. It was a really great excursion, the best yet! I'd like to work there someday. But only if they have a job which requires you to drink the bottles/cans of coke that have been rejected because they haven't been filled up properly by the machine.

Human bio today was quite... interesting? Hmm. We learnt about Spermatogenesis and Oogenesis but Spermatogenesis seemed to be the more interesting one. Well men generally produce alot of sperm in one day, and they have to relieve themselves somehow. If they're married, then well, good for them. But if they're not, then they'd have to find other ways of ejaculating - i.e. masturbation. Mrs. Tay said that she read in some article that some scientists believe that men should masturbate at least 5 times a week in order to lower their risk of getting prostate cancer. That also sparked off a controversial question: Priests are men. And men generally have to ejaculate if not they'll get extremely frustrated. So then, how do priests relieve themselves??

okae well i'll leave it at that. lol.

please pray for my paternal grandfather.
he's in i.c.u in Tan Tock Seng hospital and the situation doesn't look too good.

last i heard, both his lungs have collapsed and everyone reckons he won't last too long.
so please pray for him that he'll have a peaceful and painless passing.
thanks.

dad's gone back to s'pore to visit my grandfather and my mum might have to go down too. hope that we'll be able to cope and all.

school's back.
that means it's back to the same ol' routine all over again.
managed to wake up on time today [and you think i'd wake up with 2 alarm clocks going off simultaneously]. I was sneeezing and my throat just felt so horrible. Did i mention that i hate being sick??

Lessons as per normal today. Had a year assembly today and had teachers talking to us about subject choices for next year, the dinner dance and the Student Leadership Council. Nothing too exciting. But i think the dinner dance talk was the most interesting bit. Well, sort of anyway. RE today was quite fun. Had a relief teacher and she set us work to do - one of those stupid worksheets. Spent most of the time talking to Joanne and had an interesting conversation that ranged from the 10 commandments to Toys 'R' Us. Well sort of anyhow. After she told me a delightful story that involved a condom and a toilet, the relief teacher said:
"girls, i suggest you get on with your work. i can tell that some of your conversations have nothing to do with RE."
As you can tell, we didn't get much work done during the lesson.
One of things i learnt from RE today: that you can justify your breaking of the 10 commandments. i.e. Thou shall not steal - it was an honest mistake! i was going to return it!

a h yes, the dinner dance. how can i not talk about it. i think we've settled the sitting arrangements. Finally. Now the only problem is transport! Apparently our parents are supposed to be responsible for taking us to and from the venue. And that just wrecks our plans because we were planning of having befores at Tina's house and getting Edo, Adrian and possibly Farrell to take us there. But no, our parents have to take us there. -sigh- Went to ask mrs. webster whether our partners could still take us to the venue if they had our parents' authorization. And we're even prepared to write out a form and get our parents to sign it. All she said was that she'd ask the principle and get back to me some time soon.

Music performance and concert band tomorrow.
hope all goes well.
And i hope i get better asap.
it suxx being sick.

*happy anniversary to us*

today's our [wilson and i] 1 and half year anniversary! *yay* happy anniversary dearest and *smooches* to u.

went to meet Grace's dinner dance partner yesterday - Adrian. he's quite a nice guy. and i was also informed that i now have a partner too - Eric. i haven't met him yet though because he couldn't make it but i'm meeting him next saturday. hope all goes well. i heard that he's not too tall either. lol. what a funny sight, 2 vertically-challengedpeople going to the dance together.

got home from the outing and was surprised to see another dog. this dog, which we call Xena [as in warrior princess], ran into our garage. lynette and adit walked around the neighbourhood trying to find Xena's owner but no luck. So we let her play with Samson and they seemed to enjoy annoying the hell out of each other. I think Samson didn't like the idea of having to share his stuff with Xena and he got annoyed when she ate his food and drank his water. She's a very agile and well-trained dog, which was very well adapted to the new house. But i didn't really like her. Didn't think she was as cute as Samson and i felt quite sorry for him when he was being neglected for a while because everyone was fussing over Xena. Managed to return her to her owner this morning and we all find it quite strange how they never bothered to look for their missing dog. They knew that she had run away but they didn't go look for her. hmm. puzzling. And her real name is Lulu. *cringe* what a horrid name for anything. why would you call your pet/child that?? yes well at least now Lulu is back home.

today seems to be quite a good day.
Samson graduated from puppy preschool today! He got a cert and a treat. We're going to laminate the cert and put it up on his window. Very proud of the little doggie.

*p.s. 4 more chapters of harry potter to go! And i know who died already. Adit told me. i double-checked with grace and it's true.

parents' 22nd anniversary today!
nette, lynne, adit and i split to buy them 2 tickets to see celtic reign [it's this irish dancing thing]. quite quite cool. And it's at His Majesty's Theatre too! Opening night i might add.

well, i tried to revamp my blog. lol. hmm. if anyone can offer me some help, don't hesitate to contact me on msn, icq or email [which incidentally is dee_is_for_da@hotmail.com].

watched more afternooon tv today. muahahah.
More Passions:
Some seamen [*ahem* *ahem*] found Sherridan's body floating in the water and they were trying to revive her. Meanwhile Louise is still sitting outside the crematorium grieving Sherridan's death and telling all these other couples that they should get married because "what if tomorrow never comes?" So they should cherish their love and get married as soon as possible. These couples are Therese & Ethan and Whitney & some black guy. But wait, Therese is actually married to Julian [this rich creep who murdered his sister, Sherridan. He too is supposed to get married to someone else.]. Apparently Julian took advantage of Therese and had sex with her, they later got married. But Therese is in love with Ethan and she wants and annulment with Julian.

It may sound complicated, but it's not once you watch it. That's the beauty of soap operas! The storylines are so easy to catch on to, so it doesn't matter if you haven't been watching.

anyhoo, gonna scan some pictures now.
wheeee!!

there.
my pathetic attempt at trying to re-invent my blog.
gawd i'm tired.

lalalala

|

ahh.. the joys of afternoon tv

exactly one week till school starts. ugh.
that's one more week to bum around and be absolutely unproductive! yipee. and i wonder why i feel like my brain is turning to mush. hmm.

been watching tv quite alot lately [since i have nothing else to do...] and i've even memorised the daily tv guide for the afternoons. why only afternoons? because i'm not awake to watch morning tv [morning = too early].

well anyway, i think the highlight of afternoon tv is probably Passions. lol. it's a soap opera. i haven't turned into a full-fledged soap opera junkie.. yet.. but i mean it's quite amusing to watch. Which other soap opera has a witch [tabitha] and a midget [timmy]? well this one does. Not forgetting the token Hispanics and the token Blacks. It's a really low budget soap opera and i find it funny how one day can go on for about a week [this calls for a new measurement of time - soap opera time]. I think the best thing about soap operas is that everything is so exaggerated and fake, it's hard to believe that people actually bother to watch them. What's even more hard to believe is that people actually bother to film soap operas/act in them and acknowledge their "work of art" in the credits.

another show that's funny is The Price is Right. It's supposedly the most-watched game show in australia. lol. yeah sure. well maybe more people are watching it now because it's the all-new version. that means more cheesy-ness and more bust [from the ladies who show the prizes that is]. It just so happens that they always wear flimsy lingerie-like dresses/tops and not wear bras. But it's quite a tough show to win though, because it's based purely on luck. But what the heck, all in the name of fun!

okae, i think that's enough ranting for now. Still have to try my best to spruce up this blog! I apologise once again for the clashing colours, quite an eye sore. Until then, bear with me yarh?

*p.s. reading harry potter and the order of the phoenix now. 500 odd pages to go!
p.p.s. i can't believe i've started watching soap operas and cheesy aussie game shows cos that's what housewives are rumoured to be doing. *eeks*

going to airport now!
still fiddling around with colours so sorry for the horrible clashing colours, if any.

|

testing.

|

fiddling around with the colours and stuff.
bear with me.

|

dammit.
bus drivers still on strike.
grrr.

massive clean up of the house today.
why??
because mum's coming back tonight!
lol.
and we MUST clean up the house because mother notices everything.
she'll notice if the house is dirty, i'm sure.

everyone's still on holiday.
-sigh-
i wanna go on holiday too!
i really want to go back to s'pore.
hmm.
well school's starting next tuesday.
which reminds me, i still have hw to finish!
but will i do it any time soon? probably not.

argh.
i want a new template/layout.
whatever.
this present one is starting to bore me.

*p.s. 3 weeks till dinner dance? or maybe less. still no partner. i feel so pathetic. = (

hey ho!
i'm back!
feels like ages since i've last been online. It has been a while.

**An update about the computer hacking**
That fucker supposedly planted a trojan horse in our computer! Thank you stupid smelly feet man. But Adit's been a great help and he's cleared out whatever's been planted in our computer so thank you Adit! [even though he might not even read this, but o well] Hopefully that'll put an end to this hacking business. Lynette wants to Nepalm his house and my dad's been cursing and swearing at this guy alot. lol.
"If i had a pistol i would shoot his balls"
-dad

Well since the last time i blogged....

Went for body combat last night and the usual guy, Tom, wasn't around. Instead there was this manly-looking lady Judy who filled in for Tom. Didn't quite like her though. She was quite an old-ish lady and she was really muscular. She was also really enthusiastic and said alot of sick club related things.
i.e. "sorry bout that, i just had to go adjust a few knobs" [referring to the short period of time where she had to go turn down the music abit, of course]

City trip today. Thought that we would miss the bus because i was having a little bit of a crisis in the morning [couldn't decide what to wear!!]. Turns out we [Grace and i] made it to the bus stop on time, with 3 minutes to spare. But guess what, the bus never came! Waited around for a while more and decided to ask my dad to drop us off at the city instead. Apparently the bus drivers are still on strike! Stupid bus drivers! I hope they realise that because they've decided to go on strike, many people are left without any form of transport. But obviously not. I don't know the exact reason for going on strike, but i know it's something along the lines of being treated unfairly. Rite. I'd really like to know how they got to feel this way. Still really annoyed at the bloody bus drivers! Because of their strike, we had to take another bus back home from the city; the only bus that was available from the city to booragoon bus station [somewhere near home]. The bus ride was about an hour long and it was coupled with loud Honkies [people from Hong Kong, that is] and an aboriginal man who smelt very strongly of ciggies and alcohol [not being racist here]. Other than that, the bus ride was alright.

Got home and had the most unsatisfying dinner. Went to some place called Somerville Palace which was decorated in a very tacky manner. I.e. Chinese lanterns hanging from Dragons mounted on the walls. Eeks. Not much of a palace. The food was totally ang moh-fied. Okae, bad choice of words but there isn't any other way of describing it. It wasn't too bad i s'ppose, but not one of the best chinese restaurants we've been to in Perth. Anyway, food is food and it tastes pretty alright when you're hungry.

Tried out my new hair straightener just now! Didn't really do it properly but i like how it looks though. *grin* very happy with it.

Samson's day of freedom today! Nette and LYnne brought him for his first walk outside of our house/backyard. He's quite popular with the old ladies who think he's "gorgeous!". lol. How cute. His pictures will be posted on a website soon!

it's all in the feet!

yes. never trust a guy with smelly feet. why? because we know of a certain guy with smelly feet who may be the culprit who's been hacking into our internet account! What an idiot. So i'm being biased towards idiotic people who have smelly feet. O wait, idiotic MEN with smelly feet. But hey, it takes a real idiot to decide to hack into his customer's internet account. For one, he'll have one less customer. Unless of course we happen to be his only customers. I guess his main fault is his stupidity, the smelly feet are just his curse.

4 days till Samson will be able to go out for walks! *yay* brought him for his last vaccination today and he was a good boy. Didn't struggle or anything. Unfortunately, the dog who was in before us had some skin problem or something and so he/she stank up the entire place. It was pretty bad. O yes. And he's eating again! He hadn't been eating for the past few days, for some unknown reason. But he ate most of his food today. *double yay*

Don't know what i'll be doing for the next few days... Hmm. Probably go out on Saturday. Maybe finish some english journal entries in the next few days then i'll get some hw done. Then i'll be left with accounting hw. Joy. But knowing me, i don't think i'll end up doing my accounting hw. lol. It's theory! Theory's boring.

O yes. Yesterday was baking day [at Grace's house]! We made banana pancakes for lunch and ate them with Chocolate sauce. lol. Felt kind of sick after that. But it was a yummy and cheap lunch! Baked some Mud cake after that, which tasted pretty darn good. We sort of cheated because we used cake mix from a box but it turned out quite well. hehe. It just tasted like brownies with choc. icing. More chocolate = happier people. But that wouldn't be the case if you were allergic to chocolate or if you didn't like chocolate. How can anyone not like chocolate?! what's wrong with you?!

i love the rain.

ahh.
satisfied my craving for Hungry Jacks [which is the same as burger king] this afternoon!
also saw this guy whose name is Farrell. I suspect that's the same Farrell that Marsia's taking to the dinner dance. I mean, how many guys does anyone know with that name? Shall ask her when she gets back from indo.

Today was quite a nice, bumming around day. Walked alot because we don't have a car. lol. But the walk was enjoyable = ) Nice windy day, just the right temperature and all. After the satisfying meal, grace and i walked back to her house and watched the "mtv movie awards". It was quite funny, i think this years' was more interesting than last years'. The whole superhero theme was interesting i s'ppose. T.A.T.U's performance was quite disturbing really. The whole lesbian thing. hmm. I don't think i've actually seen girls making out and licking each other's faces. Charming. Watched a really old episode of Gilmore Girls after that. hehe. Grace didn't have the episodes with Tristan in them. Shame. Dean is such a mommy's boy, it really irks me. And his hair, ugh. Don't get me started. lol. i sound like such a ditz, now all i need is blonde hair and skimpy clothing.

Stupid Channel 9 for not showing Gilmore Girls any more! hmm. the channels here seem to lack cool shows! Like That 70s Shows. Argh. I want Foxtel.

I can't go to Grace's house to bake on Monday any more!! *sob* Our baking session will have to be postponed to Saturday or something because of a dental appointment. Ah well. I want healthy teeth. Without teeth, i wouldn't be able to chew! I love my teeth. Thank god for teeth.

the end of semester 2 is coming! in fact, it's only a few hours away! *woohoo*
Really can't wait! Going to the city tomorrow after school [cos we dismiss early]. Gonna go get myself some happy pants! In case you don't know what those are, they're MY happy pants. i.e. colourful and stripey. my favourite. *big grin*

boy today was such a crappy school day, i don't know how else to describe it! Practically everything went quite badly i think. ESPECIALLY the english oral presentation. Our group couldn't have been more pathetic. -sigh- The econs test wasn't too bad, considering that i didn't really study for it! Gave up studying last nite when i realised nothing was going into my head. Cramming this morning sort of help. Just read through my notes over and over again. All i can say is, i'll be happy if i pass the test!

The only good part was the last part of the day, from lunch till last period. Trumpet lesson was fun. lol. *news flash* i hit the high E yesterday!! And yes, it's a major achievement for me because i've been trying to for gawd knows how long. So there. RE was good fun. Managed to take a nap. We were doing meditation and so i closed my eyes and put my head down on the table. Before i knew it, i couldn't hear the lady's voice any more [we were doing this guided meditation from a tape]. Was a really nice nap though. Then it started to pour. But i was one of the lucky few who didn't get drenched. I"m sure i've mentioned this before, but i'll say it again. I really think our school should be equipped for wet winter weather! It's really annoying when you have to run in the rain just to get to your classes. We also need more covered staircases! There's currently only one and that's overly conjested when it's raining heavily.

I can't stress this enough... i can't wait till tomorrow!!
O yes. I asked my mum if i could get a hair straightener and she said okae. But only because i said that i would get a cheap one. Nette also said that she saw a cheap one in K-Mart, so yay. I've always wanted one = ) I think i'll experiment with my hair this holidays so that i can see what hairstyle would look nice for the dinnner dance!

*p.s. it's been raining alot these past few days. i like rain. only if i'm not in it that is.

last week of school... finally.
really can't wait till Friday!!
It seems so far away though.
So many things due this week..especially on Thursday. -sigh-
Haven't really been paying much attention in class so i'm kind of screwed for Econs. lol. Don't understand Trade much. ah well.
Accounting test tomorrow. Oo. Mrs. Ryan wasn't in school today, surprise surprise. I think it's the first time this year she wasn't around for a lesson. Spent most of the lesson talking to Amy about camp. Kind of wished we were still on camp instead of at school! She also reminded me of the last nite where we had a major dance-a-thon and she was having a really bad headache. After a while, we started singing and she kept telling us to shut up. lol. Cranky Amy. We continued singing anyway.
Trying to find lyrics for the song "We are Australian" because i plan to use it for my english oral speech. Arghh. Due thursday, but we have to practice it as a group. Hope we don't do too badly for it.

Due thursday:
-English oral presentation
-Music solo performance
-Econs test
-Human bio in-class

Practically everyone's going or have gone back home and some people are just going away on holiday. i.e. Heidy, Marsia, Joanne, Tina and Stef. *jealous* well me and Grace will have fun here. i think. lol. i'm kidding, we will have fun! First thing Monday, we're going to bake cookies! *yay*

Better get back to working on my english oral speech.
O yes, and study for the Accounting test tomorrow. Just can't be bothered actually, but i should. Don't really want to fail my tests.

Hmm. After looking at some lyrics of Aussie songs, i've discovered that some of them are quite odd. lol.
I'm a teller of stories
I"m a singer of songs
I am Albert Namatjira
I paint the ghostly gums
I am Clancy on his horse
I'm Ned Kelly on the run
I'm the one who waltzed Matilda
I am Australian

See what i mean? lol.
