at least today was sort of productive , because at least grace and i managed to get stuff done . so hooray for that .

in other funny stuff today ...
we found the tron guy jay maynard . lol . and just by typing his name out , i'm probably going to be listed as one of the links on google search when 'jay maynard' is typed .

it has been a weekend of sorts . let me explain .
finally went to garden city on friday after school , had some coffee and nachos (yes ok , odd combination) with tina and grace and then walked to ee's house for stu's birthday celebration .
good food , good company . mmm .

my saturday was pretty much the usual , except with bits of tv inserted in between tuition and stuff - just to pass the time away . i swear the olympics are really addictive . pity they're coming to an end already .

now today , was a good day . long , but good . it began at the crack of dawn (that's 5am , when it was still pitch dark) , cos we volunteered at city 2 surf - no , not running . handing cups of water out actually . it was really fun , but also EXTREMELY cold - hands were numb , couldn't feel anything .

city 2 surf finished at about 9.30 or so , then we made our way to go look for some breakfast . ended up having really greasy breakfast at this place in subi . o and did i mention that we ate a lot ? bacon , eggs , sausages , baked beans , toast and pancakes . enough said .

feeling extremely full , we decided to catch the bus to uwa and the bus fare was only $0.50 ! ok , that wasn't exactly very exciting (and probably didn't warrant an exclamation mark , but that's besides the point) . anyway , spent quite a while at the expo and i think now i have a better idea of what i want to do next year .

oo ! and i also got to learn how do stitches . except we used a pig's trotter and not a real human specimen . but still , quite cool . i must say , it's a lot easier than i thought it would be . haha , but i suppose it would be a lot more difficult on a living , breathing , non-frozen human being .

the day ended off quite nicely - *grin* . heh . yes , we all know what she's talking about - especially when she starts to sound like a giggly primary school girl . o and then we (nette , ben and i) had nando's for dinner , no carbs for me though . i think i've eaten enough to last me till tmr nite .

anyhoo , i think that will be it for tonight . my eyes are tired and i need sleep . i've also just realised that there are ONLY 2 more days of the supposed long weekend , and i haven't actually been very productive . -sigh-

OH MY .
i just clicked on a link on someone's blog - singapore idol's very own stripper . he's also known as the street eyebrow plucker , and the scary thing is that 2 yrs ago , i remember him coming up to us asking if we wanted our eyebrows done .

my friends suggested that i should get mine done , and he also said something about how i'd look even more pretty if i had my eyebrows done (cue: terrified screams) .

so i let him .
and i distinctly remember constantly reminding him to NOT pluck them thin . and he did . so naturally , i got upset and refused to pay him .

and now he has his very own website , proudly announcing the fact that he's some stripper-cum-eyebrow shaper who's also singapore's most handsome guy . oh my gosh , will someone please hand me a barf bag please ?

i just felt like saying that . but it's been really really windy these past few days .
just a few thoughts :
- being sick really bites .
( and if you're sick and want to see a doctor , you have to make an appointment . so if there aren't any appointments left , then oh i'm sorry , you'll just have to wait till tmr morning - that is if you haven't collapsed yet . )
when i asked for an mc for missing school today , he (the doctor) said "just today ? don't you want to stay home tmr ? alrite then ."
on top of that , he reminded me to gargle and to get well soon . heh .

- equestrian has to be the most boring sport to watch . ever . i don't know if you can even call it a sport . lol . and yet , they seem to telecast that bit of the olympics quite a bit . do people actually enjoy watching horses jump over things ? because the crowd spectating seem to think that it's the most exciting sport in the world - standing there waving their giant flags and cheering after each round . i have to say , that it is quite amusing to listen to the commentators talk about lovely the horse's trot is , and the occasional "oooh wow ! that was a wonderful jump!" .

- staying home today meant that i missed the applic test for just one more day . that's fine by me , because i haven't actually had the chance to do much revision for it . jo called me today at recess yelling into the phone , telling me that i should be in school doing the test with her . haha . i'm sorry jo , i'll do it tmr . and how thoughtful of you to sms me while you were pooing .

- i had mushroom soup for lunch . mmm . except i think i burnt my tongue in the process . food and tv , my 2 favourite things .

i should probably go now . got to do some practise for applic .
ah yes and (almost) the whole world thinks i'm a mad stalker now . haha . who can blame them though . but i really don't meant to sound that obsessed , and no grace , i will not be going to calcutta too . thank you very much .

it's 1235am , i've just finished doing about 2 hrs worth of applic and now i'm feeeling strangely awake .

how weird is that .

wheee , today was a nice sunday (haha . and we all know why don't we ?) ... and apparently he wants to go to calcutta . hahhaha . how funny is that . i'll explain this in detail if you come ask me personally . o yes and i actually did stuff ! apart from work that is ... lol .

anyhoooo , i think i might go play some online games or something ... that might drain some energy out of me . i really want to sleep . grr .

the most exciting weekend ...

noo . actually i lie . it hasn't been that exciting .
hmm let's see .

thursday:
lynne had her performing arts dance festival concert , so we (mum , dad and i) went to watch her and her friends perform . the concert on the whole was pretty alrite , can't say that i've ever seen that many little kids dressed up before . it just like halloween , only not .

friday:
the day of the social . was quite excited already . lol . i was so proud of myself too , didn't get upset at mrs. lorrimar while trying to sort of the problem with the tickets . she actually made sense for once .

went over to tina's house after that to bum around and get ready . watched gilmore girls , but they were old episodes ... so NO jesse or tristan . heh . ooo !! i'm so happy . found christian's picture in the aquinas annual - yes ok , i know i sound like a stalker ... shush alrite .

i think the disappointment of the social was the music . the music was quite terrible for most of the night . the dj didn't even look like one ... she looked like a bloody teacher . o AND there a few ppl who went up to sing ... i think i felt most embarrassed for the band and for one of the aquinas guys who sang .
the band - the lead singer couldn't sing . they somehow managed to murder every single song they played . (nirvana , counting crows ...)
the weird aquinas guy - whom i remember as having bad breath and sweaty palms during our year 10 dancing lessons ! lol . anyway , he sang a jap song and then he killed 'you're an ocean' by fastball . -sigh- poor dude .

the night ended off wonderfully with me having to finish my math tuition hw . stayed up till like 2am to finish it ... geez .

saturday: (that's today)
managed to crawl out of bed at about 10 this morning , cos i had to go for that econs tutorial thingy . i was quite surprised that i was actually quite awake the entire time . had math tuition with jo in the later part of the afternooon , the test is on wed (help!) .

celebrated auntie and uncle's wedding 30th wedding anniversary then went to dinner - which was quite yummy . currently feeling quite sick , but also slightly hungry . been feeling hungry all day . hmm .

oo and watched rugby - australia vs. south africa . we lost . damn . the match was quite disappointing .

anyhooo . still feeling really tired , so i think i'll just go now .

heh . i wish i could have 6 music periods a day ! how nice would that be ...
had a cool lesson today and we learnt a new song by Paul Simon - late in the evening . it sounds kind of latin and it's one of those songs that starts a conga line . lol .

so yes , the horn line is really catchy and erm , fast . now it's stuck in my head , playing over and over again ... but oo ! i get to play the bongos too ! quite fun , but also tricky cos i'm quite unco-ordinated when it comes to percussion .

had my trumpet lesson after school , and i've discovered that mr kelly puts on these funny black tracksuit-like pants over his jeans before he goes off . they're like his motorbike pants or something . lol . quite funny really . they sort of go with his leather jacket . but he was wearing a stripey shirt today ! : ) and yes , he looked nice . as usual .

anyway , math tuition soon . -sigh-

**new pictures** - aths carnival 2004

been watching bits of the olympics (or if you're my dad , olumpics) .
was watching the the part of the opening ceremony where all the athletes from various countries walk out , and australia had to be the only ones who managed to look like tourists . they were wearing this green jackets with stars on them , supposedly symbolising the southern cross . on top of that , they had these white backpacks and some of them were filming and taking pictures .

nette and i have also realised how boring it is to watch cycling . lol . but i always enjoy watching gymnastics :) oo !! oo !! and we saw juan carlos ferrero and some other hot jap people .

i wanna dye my hair now .

today ,
- we (nette , lynne , mum and i) ate A LOT of beef for dinner .
- i have booked for my ticket to s'pore for 2nd dec ! *does a happy dance* will be staying till Jan 4th . can't wait till then .
- i have managed to teach myself the chapter on Budgets for the accounting test on tuesday .
- i felt so annoyed at some teachers (i.e. mr yeang , mr flexman , mrs pengilly) for various reasons , which i will not go into right now .
-has been another semi-cloudy day

tmr ,
-will be yet another boring , homework-filled day .

and the day after ,
-grace and i will try to start on our econs tutorial and i will go to church in the evening (where there will be many marion songs because it's the assumption) . i'm hoping that a certain someone will be there so that my sunday will be happy and complete . lol .

i'm just here to blog about some stuff that's happened this week , before i forget it .

monday - had a full rehearsal for the multicultural assembly and we practised our item after school . and of course , mrs . lorrimar sat in and watched . my god , that woman doesn't have to do much to annoy anyone . the worse thing she had to do was DANCE , and it wasn't even normal dancing either ... apparently technology (e.g. digital cameras) are very foreign to this woman : "o wow . i don't have to look through that little hole ... "

tuesday - the day of the multicultural assembly . it looked pretty disorganised , but on the whole it was ok . there was this one item called 'Nonna Disco' ... oh my . i felt so embarrassed for the girls up on stage , i couldn't even bear to watch them . ended up staring at the wall in front of me . and then it was time for our performance and i thought we did pretty well . we got good comments from everybody , so yay for us . : ) i think credit has to go to heidy though , for being the (and i quote mrs . lorrimar) "multi-talented girl" that she is ! lol .

wed - we had an international food hall during lunch time and the best bit was the miso soup . nice and warm on a cold , wet winter's day . the entertainment (if you can call it that) was international idol . frankly i think the whole 'idol' thing is a bit over done . got a bit bored after a while .

thurs (that's today) - had a relaxed RE lesson , for once . we spent the entire time reading picture books from the library - very pretty illustrations . one of the stories mrs . sawiris read to us was called "the selfish giant" . but he repented and was no longer selfish . he helped this little kid climb into a tree and realised what joy little children bring . it was so sad cos he died in the end and all the little kids found him lying dead in the garden the next morning . sounds quite morbid , now that i think about it .

i saw some primary school kids today after school and they all had this egg in a plastic pouch , hanging round their necks . they said it was this project that all year 7s had to do , and so i think lynne will probably get her egg soon . lol . they're supposed to care for it for 24 hrs , and if it breaks , then they have to write it a death certificate - with the exact date and time that it was broken . haha . it was so cute though , cos they decorated the eggs and gave them names .

the weather's been quite fickle these past few days . it'll rain really heavily for quite a while , and it'll be all windy ... and then a few hrs after that it gets all sunny and warm . quite annoying really .

i've also realised that during this past month , there have been quite a few deaths - sr . consilii , mr quah , this lady who used to be the bursar at my school and a few people around my age from other schools . i don't know what it is .

anyhooo , that's about it . gotta go do some work and stuff . -sigh- soooo behind in my work , it's not funny ! but then again , i think everybody else is in the same position .

it's so sad when the most exciting part of your weekend is something on tv . rugby , to be exact . lol . it's actually really exciting to watch , and i'm so happy that the wallabies won - yet again . *yipee*

just watched 'eyes wide shut' cos it was on tv . hmm . weird is an understatement . but then again , it's directed by stanley kubrick so go figure . "all we need to do is fuck ." - that's how it ends .

so there you go . tv is the most exciting thing in my life right now . -sigh-

had our athletics carnival today - the last one EVER for us . *yipeee* i quite enjoyed myself on the whole , i thought the day was pretty good .

i wasn't actually there when they were allocating events and so marsia just put my name down for some events - i.e. javelin , sack race , flag race , 200 m .
when i found out that she put me in javelin , i just wanted to poke her eyes out . i really can't throw and i don't know how . ended up doing it anyway , wasn't too bad ... at least i got one good throw out of the 3 .

the flag race was tiring and the sack race was the most fun ! haven't done that in ages , but it was the most fun event . lol . pretty difficult and exhausting , i might add . didn't end up doing the 200m cos i can no longer run properly (yes , i've become fat and unfit) . got lisa to run it for me cos she was down as a reserve .

and then finally the time came for the year 12s to do their aths carnival item and i must say that all the houses did a fantastic job (and i'm not being biased here) . this years' items seemed to be more interesting than last years - they made more sense too .

after that , we (tina , grace and i) were supposed to go to garbo . didn't end up doing that cos we had to go back to school to rehearse for the multicultural assembly on tues . soo yeah . stayed still about 5pm .

felt so tired after - still am actually . still got some applic math tuition hw to finish for tmr . going to the curtin uni open day on sunday , hopefully that'll give me some more ideas about what i can do next year . not really planning to go to curtin though .

anyhoo , my head's hurting . toodles .

ok here i am again . i know i said i'd be going off , but i just found out that mr. quah has passed away . -sigh- he was only 50 (i swear , i always thought he was older than that) , and although he was such a terror ... i feel quite sad . hmm .

just me and my jesters pie - yumm .
i'm really quite tired , so i'm eating to keep myself awake . lol . hopefully the weight will go to my hair , just like tina's does (thank you for that , grace) .

o and funny moment of today : gemma comes up to me and tells me that she might have forgotten to wear her undies , she says this cos she can't seem to feel them - all she can feel are her stockings . lol . so she checks and YES (thank god) , she IS wearing undies today .

anyway , off i go - shall go do some trumpet practice .
damn , i'm still hungry .
