less than an hr till new years eve, and i don't feel like working tmr. bahhhh. i hope it all passes by quickly, then i can finally go to dinner and festivities at julie's house - yay mahjong and other random games !! i can't wait.

i guess most people have been reflecting on the past year, and i suppose i am no different. but i will definitely spare you all by not blogging about it, cos it would ruin the inane nature of this blog.

i will say this though;
i have had no regrets this past year, although i wish certain friendships would have been made stronger. it's even worse when friends don't realise how important a friendship is, and choose their significant others instead (or appear to, anyway).

my decision is that if they don't make the effort then why should i? yes, that is rather selfish but there are other people who i can devote my time to. it just irritates me when friends choose the company of their bfs/gfs instead, especially when you already hardly spend time with them. such a shame, indeed.

ok! well that is as deep and meaningful as i will get.

the only show that i wouldn't mind watching is BlokesWorld! lol. kind of intrigues me, that's all. men are so easily entertained.

i really don't like christmas crowds.
if not for the post-christmas sales i would not want to venture out of the house...
the main reason for not liking christmas crowds is that they make every where you go smell of people - that is not a pleasant smell. somehow everything and every place smells musty and you know people who have been shopping all day have been there.

today was a good day though and i have made myself happy with some purchases =D huzzah for material goods!

going to help dad make the salad for dinner (as mother has left for s'pore again). we're having steak tonight though. 2nd night in a row for me since i went to hogsbreath for steak last night. ohwell, meat is good.

it's christmas and it finally feels like it :)

on hindsight, i think this year's christmas was pretty good - especially all the good food we had today. mmm mmm, i am so full of food. got lots of lovely presents, although my personal favourite is that book of fairytales that nette got for me :) thank you, sister! i know i will always be able to count on you to keep my meat & veggies seperated and to provide me with an endless supply of yellow highlighters.

so yes, all in all i would say i have had a marvellous time.
boxing day will be good too, cos i'm finally gonna go for a swim in the pool (nice and early too).

probably gonna end here cos i'm tired and need to tidy my room a bit, since the cleaners are coming tmr and they need to vacuum the carpet. at the moment, i don't think they're gonna have much carpet to vacuum ... so yeah.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AGAIN !! =D

you know it's christmas time when there are ads on tv with odd-looking pre-primary school children singing christmas carols (not to mention, very badly). and also when you drive past over-decorated houses trying to win the christmas lights competition.

this is totally unrelated but there was a pervy old man on the bus today. i first moved in to let him sit down and he said thank you - a friendly gesture of course. then after a while a whole bunch of ppl i knew came on the bus and he says, "wow you're very popular aren't you?" after some silence he said, "so how do you know them? you're all very pretty girls..."

decided to ignore him for the rest of the bus ride until i had get off. his response to my 'excuse me' was: "awww you're getting off already?" he didn't even move enough so i had to squeeze past him and he put his hands on my arms (while having this smirk on his face). ewww!!

but after telling lynette my story, it didn't seem to compare to hers. heehee.

the telstra guy finally came to connect our cable today, and then yas helped with the rest.

so christmas is in 4 days and it still doesn't really feel like it. come to think of it, it hasn't felt like christmas in a very long time. i dunno, maybe it's just me.

it has been a really long time since i've posted anything or been online for that matter. checked my email after more than week and it was flooded with all kinds of emails and rubbish. kind of odd seeing as how i rarely receive emails from people, but i was pleasantly surprised by some happy birthday and how-are-you emails - so thank you :)

yes yes, i am finally 18 (and 3 days, to be exact).
today is my uncle's birthday so am at their house... not really missing the internet but i feel cut off from the world cos we don't have newspapers either. haha. the worst thing is not being able to check the weather, cos i don't know what to wear. speaking of which, perth weather is crazy. it's supposed to be summer but it's all raining and what not.

anyhoo, i will end here.

oh i am tired -yawn-

the day started off with dad barging into the room at 8am (after sleeping at 2am to finish up the packing in my room) ...
dad: "da, are you doing anything this morning??"
me : "erm i'm sleeping..."
dad: "get up and help me pack the laundry, forgot all about it."

had no choice but to crawl out of bed and ended up packing and unloading stuff in my pjs until about 1.30pm.

the induction for Woolies was absolutely boring, and it consisted mainly of lots of talking and odd videos about working for Woolworths and what not. bahhh, 4 hrs of complete boredom - the only good thing perhaps that i get paid for it. at least there were some nice people there too.

so that is about it.
my entire wardrobe is at the new house already, and once we move in officially on Friday it's time to take down all those oddly placed (and not to mention, ugly) sunflower cut-outs.
can't wait to settle down once and for all!
then on Sunday it'll be my birthday =D

mum's supposed to come back on Friday night, i can't wait.
dad tends to stress himself out too much and then there's all this tension, which makes everything unpleasant. besides, mum's easier to communicate with.

feeling oh so sleepy, and i kept getting hiccups today!

I PASSED MY DRIVING AT LAST !!!! =D
now there's only that stupid 25 hrs to go... already have 45 mins done from just now cos i drove home.

got a really nice guy this time, i think he was german and for some reason he knew i was from Singapore. then he asked me whether i knew who won the marathon, and i said i didn't know cos i wasn't all that into sport. after which i'm pretty sure i heard him mumbling something about me being lazy. lol.

but yeah, other than that the test went really well :) ooh what a goood week this has been, i am so happy!!

alrite well, gonna go nap for a bit.

hello employment, goodbye money troubles

congrats to me, for i have found a job!!! =D
two jobs actually, so now i have to choose one cos i dont think i can handle two. but i dont know, we'll see how things go when i get my roster for Woolies. it's pretty quick though, cos i just went for the 2nd interview this morning and the lady called me just now around 3pm or so.

as for the hospital one, got a call asking me to go for a medical checkup so i think that means i got it. dont think there's anything severely wrong with my health ... and i was asked to get police clearance too. so i guess that pretty much means i got it.
ahhwell.

today has been a good day, so while i'm at it here's more good/fun/happy stuff.
happy 6 months to me & yas :)
going to eat fish and chips at freo tonight i think. mmm fish... feel like eating squid too.

the events from today have made me extremely happy.
but i am also slightly tired, might go have a rest and i will leave yas to do his mandatory forum-check (that silly forum post whore). but of course, i will run away and hide before he hits me for calling him that.

oh and HAPPY BIRTHDAY DYAN NG!! i love you :) hope you had a good day. speaking of birthdays, 10 days to mine!!!
