Tomorrow marks the END of Semester 1 ...

I AM SO EXCITED .

Been waiting for this for the longest time. Okay, so it means exams are round the corner, but i really do enjoy sitting in the silence of the library . I really don't mind being a hermit right about now.

In one of those sentimental moods, not sure why. Looking at photos from China and just the past few months, sighh. Fun times for sure!

Something is seriously wrong with me, i am really looking forward to exam study. Not just looking forward to it, i'm excited . Excited about staying in the library till close - studying .

Tomorrow will mark the end of all assignments for semester 1, yipeee! It will be a great day :D

Maybe i will treat myself, just for the heck of it .

Oh yes, I am also upset because my left earhole is infected & i don't know how it happened . Now it's formed a scab and i'm hoping that there's another solution because i don't want to wait for it to close .

There we have it kids, courtesy of Wikipedia :

Dolphin copulation happens belly to belly and though many species engage in lengthy foreplay, the actual act is usually only brief, but may be repeated several times with a few minutes in between.

Their reproductive organs are located on the underside of the body. Males have two slits, one concealing the penis and one further behind for the anus. The female has one genital slit, housing the vagina and the anus. A mammary slit is positioned on either side of the female's genital slit.

Not sure how this topic of conversation came up last night, but now we know that male dolphins do have penises, it's just concealed so it's not weird and dangling everywhere.

Okay, bed time for me!
Quite quite tired .

It's raining so heavily right now!
Haven't heard the sound of heavy rain in a long time, good news for the farmers i guess.

First time i'm home before 1 on a saturday night, haha . Yes i agree, the night seems a bit incomplete but i really don't mind being home right now . Lovely weather for sitting in bed reading and/or sleeping .

Everyone seems to be going through a rough patch at the moment, feeling sad about something or other . I'm sure things will get better soon!

And seriously, guys are just blind and stupid .

Woke up at the ungodly hour of 8am, with only 5 hours of sleep . All because i thought my group meeting was at 10am when really, it is at 1pm. Hadn't finished my bit so i thought i'd wake up a little earlier so i could work on it . Bloody hell . Now i can't even fall asleep again because i made myself wake up & shower . Perhaps next time i should consult my diary instead of going by memory, haha .

Ah well .
Last night was spent having dinner & going late-night shopping with Julie & Jess :) Hadn't been to late-night shopping in a while, so it was nice to just walk around . Didn't actually buy anything for myself, but we got Annie's birthday present .

Now this is where the night gets weird ...
After that Julie & I joined some others for drinks & Karaoke . Let's just say last night had a mixture of good & (mostly) bad feelings . Was a first to see Nick deliriously happy, which on a normal night would've been great, but he seemed to be the only one . I was happy for him though, at least it's working out for one of us .

Apart from that, i actually enjoyed Karaoke . The last time i enjoyed it was back in China with Nat, Jian, Tash & Sarah . Oh i miss those days!

Sighh, it'd be really nice to just fast forward all this uni crap .
My assesments finish on Wednesday (at last!) and i don't care, i'm just going to go crazy for that one night .

Hmm this is the first Saturday i've been up early enough to watch Video Hits and for once, good stuff is playing . Maybe i should do this more often ...

Okay i am starving!
FOOD :D

Okay, so my day ended up not-so-great but what can you do about it.

Still have a looooong way to go on my stupid boring asian studies essay. Really don't have the motivation to do anything at the moment, just feeling so drained & irritated.

Why can't these fucking assignments just go away?
&
Why is it we always pick the tough ones?

Haven't felt this down in a long long long long time.
Just want something happy to happen, really!

I have officially lost all interest & motivation in my essay, this is bad .

Today, being the 20th of may, means that it is exactly ONE MONTH till semester one is over. Really can't wait !! Have already been thinking of post-exam things to do in the hopes of giving myself something to look forward to.

Something tells me today is going to be a slow slow day ...
wish the weather was lovely enough for a picnic.

There's no better feeling than relief. So glad the turn out for quiz night was good, everyone seemed to have fun & as usual there was one weird table. This time it was a bunch of white guys who were really competitive & a little scary.

Will upload some pictures when i get them. Was pretty pleased with my Hamburglar outfit cos it all worked out in the end. A lot of the committee was a bit disappointing with their costumes though, thought they could've done better, but oh well.

Anyhoo, now that that's done, it's time to concentrate on the million assignments & upcoming exams. Okay i exaggerate, i have less than a million assignments but it sure feels like it. Exactly a month till semester one is OVER, yay !

Last night could've been so much more fun, if not for irritating people who ruin plans & get in the way, pahh. Always wondered why things seem to work out for other people. But nevermind, shall not dwell on that.

Once again, it is library time.
Is it weird that i'm actually looking forward to sitting down in some peace & quiet to do work and nothing else?

Thursday, May 17, 2007

Finally, 2 more assignments DONE & DONE.
Now 3 more to go, but hopefully they will pass by quickly ...

I'm quite excited about Quiz Night tmr, heh heh. Me and my Hamburglar costume, it will be the best! Going to Julie's to wrap hampers soooon.

The weather just got rainy, again.
All i want to do is curl up on the couch, sip wine and talk about girly things.

Oh yes, things are getting betterrr!
I am so happy it is Thursday - the end of another week of uni.

So today turned out to be a good (okay wait, make that G R E A T) day :)

The day started off a little rough & was pissed off for most of it . I know i've said this before, but i'll say it again, i really really dislike group assignments. Perhaps hate is too strong a word.

But anyhoo ...
Unexpectedly ended up at Fiasco this afternoon & as it turns out, they're having a relocation sale so everything's been marked down. Totally made my day cos i bought a purple playsuit for $35, marked down from over $100. Too cute!

Nick, being the girl that he is, wants to go back tomorrow so i will probably end up there too. Why Fiasco, why. Why must you have a sale now??!! Oh well, it will be a good way to celebrate the completion of 2 more assignments .

Speaking of which, those assignments (unfortunately) won't get done on their own so i guess i should get a move on .

Don't worry Lynda, tomorrow will be a better day.
Much better, i can feel it already
:D

So our Saturday night didn't quite go to plan, but overall i thought it was okay :)

The highlight of the night was probably our Jello shots - tasty & effective !
My favourite is still the red jelly.

Wanted to go to Eurobar but Jack wasn't allowed in because he wasn't wearing the right shoes ... it's always someone who's not dressed accordingly, but oh well .

I don't have to say where we ended up but let's just say that it could've been a better night for some . For me, it wasn't so bad because at least i've made a little progress, haha (if you can call it that)

Ahh well, at least we didn't have to resort to Plan B (right Julie?).
Okay, it's library time.

Thursday, May 10, 2007

Today was annoying because the time seemed to be passing by sooo slowly ... waited around till 5pm instead of going home because i felt guilty for missing out on yesterday's Chinese. The two hours spent sitting in that classroom felt like forever! I am always amazed at how the teacher can talk for 2 hours straight & still have plenty to say cos he tends to go over time.

Bumped into someone i knew in the carpark and got bitten by a million mozzies while talking to him, arghh. The bloody mosquito/es must have followed me into my car because i swear i was still getting bitten while driving home, taking full advantage of red lights to scratch my legs and feet.

Had a sudden craving for Kinder Surprise so i went and bought a box yesterday. Everyone else got better Surprises than me :( All i got was a jigsaw. Oh well, better luck next time perhaps.

Tomorrow is Friiiiidayy & the day after is Saturdayyy
:D

La dee da, today was a good day :D

My first purchase in a long long time: a grey long-sleeve dress from one of those stalls at Curtin. Julie got something too and we managed to bargain. Ended up getting $5 off, mmm yes, we were proud of ourselves cos where do you get the chance to bargain in Perth!

After buying some stuff for Quiz night, decided to go to uni to do some work. At first we contemplated sitting on the lawn since the weather was just too nice, but no, we went to the library to do work instead.

Oh yes, and no over-reacting for me. Quite proud of myself for staying calm, although perhaps i smiled too much & should've made conversation but oh well ... there's always next time!

I have concluded that there should be more days like today.

Spiderman 3 is a joke of a movie. I realise it's meant to be from a comic book so it's cheesy and all that, but still ! I think it dragged on for too long and the middle bit was especially strange , mostly cos he had the whole emo thing going on (i.e. flat, greasy hair & eyeliner). What i want to know is, when he strips off his normal clothes to be in his Spidey outfit, where does he keep his clothes ?!

I think the only decent movie i will be seeing this month is the 3rd Pirates movie. Ohmygosh, i can't wait !!

But anyhooo, today's presentation = done & done. I'd say it went pretty well, lost my train of thought halfway through but i think nobody noticed so that's always a good thing. Now i have 5 more assesments to go ... this semester feels like the longest one everr.

Am looking forward to the weekend :D
Yes, yes i am.

Sunday, May 06, 2007

I realise i am great at procrastinating. Now maybe if i was just as great at doing other stuff i'd be more productive.

Really dreading my group meeting tmr because something tells me it's going to be very pointless. They don't even check their freakin email to know that i've sent them articles relating to the assignment, and that was Friday. Sent them a friendly sms reminder about tmr's meeting and still no response. I sure hope that means they got it.

I really hate group assignments.
At least if it's an individual one where you screw up and you do badly, it's your fault. Plus, you can take your time.

Oh yes,
went to watch 'Because I Said So' last night with Julie, Steph and Lynne. We used the family discount voucher in the Entertainment Book, haha. 2 adult + 2 children tickets for $35, woo! Somehow the cheap tickets didn't make the movie more enjoyable. It was the crappiest chick flick i've ever watched. Okae so i could've told myself that before watching it but Julie was so keen so i gave in.

Diane Keaton just really gets on my nerves. I mean what the hell is with her clothes and i'm surprised her stylist didn't tell her that those belts don't suit her and that maybe she should get better clothes. Or maybe she was too annoying and so they didn't bother. I hated how she thought she was cute, being the meddling mother and all. I'm sorry Diane, it just wasn't working for you.

The dialogue in the movie was TERRIBLE and some bits were very unnecessary - i.e. the mother screwing her daughter's bf's dad and getting her first orgasm, because apparently she never had one and asked her daughter what it felt like. How gross is that, why the hell would you ask your daughter a question like that ??!! What made it worse was that her daughter (played by Mandy Moore) actually answered the question ... IN DETAIL.

Irrelevant part #2: all the old people in the cooking class start pashing each other after seeing Millie & Johnny (Mandy Moore & Gabriel Macht). It's traumatising enough to see all that, then you see two old ladies going at it, aahhh !!!

Incidentally, there were 2 old ladies sitting behind us who kept chuckling at all the sexual innuendo. Quite disturbing. I guess the only consolation was that they weren't pashing each other.

Anywayy, i apologise if i wrecked the movie for anyone (although i seriously doubt it). So please don't waste your money even if you have vouchers. Worst chick flick ever!

Hmm oh yes, then we went to have coffee where we were approached by these drunken oldies (ok maybe not so old, but old enough to be parents). It was a one-lane road with parallel parking on the left and Julie had to quickly go into the parking spot so she wouldn't block traffic. At the same time there was a car behind us trying to get out so Julie had to wait for the person to leave before adjusting the car.

While waiting, one of the men from the drunken group of oldies comes up to the car, taps the window and says, "excuse me, are you mad or do you just not know how to park?"
To which our response was, "we haven't finished parking yet and it's none of your business anyway!"

After that they just stood on the street WATCHING us as Julie parked the car properly. It wasn't even any of their business because they were just pedestrians walking to their car. We weren't even blocking traffic and we were still sitting in the car with the engine on. Doesn't that indicate that we haven't finished parking the car?!

Bloody hell. Really got us irritated.

So that was my Saturday night, the least exciting one in a long long time.
At least we didn't end up going clubbing ... unlike someone i know, haha.
"Eh i have a bad feeling we're going to end up in Metros tonight"
(correction: it was just you, nick)

i hate group assignments !!!

It's the weekend, it's the weekend!
My weekend kind of started yesterday because of the minimal amount of work done, hmm.

Woke up with the worst stomach ache ever, due to the severe overeating last night. Hadn't had our weekly dinners in a while so i think we went all out ... was really satisfying but i think everyone was bursting out of their pants. I know i was!

Dinner at Farrell's in Vic Park was tasty :) I think the fact that we used 3 Entertainment Book vouchers made the food even tastier. The guy who tallied up our bill was probably thinking, "Bloody cheapskate Asians ... -insert more muttering here-" 6 dishes & it only came to $61.50 or some sort of ridiculously cheap amount.

Hopped into Titty's car and listened to Terry Pratchett's 'Thud!' on the way to Kings St Cafe. I believe that was the most amusing car ride ever ... never really listened to audio books before. Was really impressed with the narrator, he had different voices for all the characters and it was great! Thoroughly amusing :D That man sure has talent.

Once there, ordered a few too many cakes (a few = 5) and i found it really hard to move out of my seat. Incidentally, the chairs in Kings St Cafe are pretty comfy - i think it's the butt-shaped seats, mmm!

Since we were near Eric's office he decided to go pick up his watch which he'd left behind during the day. The building's really pretty and has this smell that i really love. Not sure how to describe it, but i really like buildings with that smell. We got a tour of his office & and spent the rest of the time playing on their fancy foozball table.

Was a good night, can't wait till we have our fondue party!!

Anyhoo, felt like being long-winded today... might have been inspired by the audio tape.

The day started off good with everything going well, managed to get a lot of things done & to uni as planned. Dot points will have to suffice for today as i am lazy.
  • Actually i-lectured in the library and for once i am prepared for tmr morning's asian studies tute.
  • Got a call to say the posters & tickets for InQUIZition Night were done a lot earlier than expected.
  • Lunch at The Vic with Julie was tasty and cheap cos we used our entertainment book voucher :)

And then ...
  • the weather gets worse
  • petrol tank is empty-ish and have no choice but to pump even though it was so expensive
  • we find out that we have to pay for the rest of our China trip in the next few days if not our places will be cancelled.

Uhh hello, this is unfair. We were told that we had to pay by end of November and the travel agent didn't even tell us this until THIS MORNING, giving us very little notice. Apparently he already had to re-book for us once, don't understand why he didn't just tell us then. I guess that makes too much sense ...
So in the event that it does get cancelled, we might able to get a much cheaper flight by booking through Julie's auntie (at least i hope so anyway).

The only other thing that made me happy was finding permit parking. Not sure if i count seeing
whatshisface today a good thing, gave some sort of excitement but also made me feel like a real loser.

Told myself that there's no way & made myself forget, was doing well for the past two days ... then why oh why did you have to be around today ??!! And why do your friends have to say such nice things about you!!

Okae, i think that is enough whinging for one day.
