So last night we had an old school A.S.I.A dinner at Vancy's :)
Was the first time in a looooong while that everyone was together again .

Didn't get any photos of the steamboat, but it was tasty! Then we had blueberry cheesecake for dessert, mmm.

It's been raining heavily every day since ... saturday? I don't know, it's been raining for a long time now & i can't remember when it started . Good news for the farmers, i guess.

Anyhoo, the first week of uni is over! My timetable is the epitome of slack so i'm not complaing :) It's gonna be a busy semester with A.S.I.A commitments, but i suppose that's a good thing cos i'd rather be kept occupied than having the time to think about other things.

The other day, i received this message on Friendster from a Linda Tay. Thought it was slightly odd because 1) I don't know a Linda Tay & 2) She's 26 & married with a kid . I checked the message out of curiousity and this is what it said:

You would think a lady her age would be busy doing other things & not have the time to go online (let alone Friendster) to make friends with randoms. The only common ground i can see that we share are our names & where we're from.

Perfect weather for sitting in a beanbag with a cup of hot tea & a book, mmm !

Morning breath, woo!

Woke up to find that i can't even shower because the water mains have been turned off . One of the pipes in my parents' room burst so the guy is fixing it right now ... they didn't even tell me that he was coming today! Great . Nobody knows how long it will be before the water comes back on .

Everyone's finally back & it feels nice :)

We were all in our PJs, getting ready for bed & happy to stay home. Then the calls start coming in with everyone asking what we're doing tonight. No prizes for guessing where we ended up, BUT it was actually good last night & we managed to get $10 entry :D

Had quite a bit of fun, mostly cos everyone was there. Was nice to see familiar faces i hadn't seen in a while.

The most exciting part was probably when Justina & Cat nearly got beaten up by these girls. I think they were bumping into each other on the dancefloor so one of them got upset and started shoving Justina, trying to punch her. Later on one of her guy friends tried to join in ... what kind of idiot tries to fight with a girl ?! Repeatedly! Lucky for us, we had Jeremy :)

Boohoo, semester 2 begins tmr :(

Uni starts on monday, boo :(
Okay so i don't have class on monday, but still, this means that the holidays are over! A month has passed by already & i don't really know where all my time went.

Really itching to do something fun/exciting tonight ... wish there were better places to go to in Perth. For some reason everyone is going to Metros, but that is the last place i want to be at tonight.

Bloody hell, why does the nightlife suck so much here?!

Parents + Lynne have gone to Yallingup for 3 days 2 nights so here i am, alone at home. It's really strange that the house is so quiet, but i've turned the music up loud so it doesn't get too quiet.

Had a lovely day today, went to Hilary's after what seems like a lifetime. The entire place has changed - they have a boardwalk with a whole row of food outlets, a newly built resort & nice walkways leading to the beach. Today's weather was perfect for tanning so it was such a shame we didn't have our bathers!

Dinner was really tasty :) Jack impressed us with his culinary skills - he cooks really good stewed pork! I think we all surprised ourselves with our good home-cooked meals. Tonight it was lamb, potato salad & baked pumpkin. Our next meal will be MEXICAN. I've always wanted to try making tacos! Good ol' Oldelpaso with those tacos that stand up.

Tomorrow will be dedicated to getting my tax return done ... if i don't do it now, it'll never get done.

This is one of those times i wish i had someone to drive me around, instead of having to drag myself to uni to sort some stuff out . AARRRGHHH .

thankfully Grace got me DVDs from Indo to keep me occupied :)
Harry Potter is out today so Lynne & her HP-obsessed friends are going to watch it (they pre-booked tickets and everything!) . I'm just going to wait till Friday to watch it, can't wait !

Just checked my results and I DIDN'T FAIL ANYTHING ! Actually did better than i thought, go me :D

Mum was making tea for herself & lynne, so she puts the milk in the microwave to warm. The microwave beeps.
mum: "LYNNE. Why did you warm the milk up before the water even boiled?!"
lynne: "huh what?"
me: "uhh no mum, actually you put the milk in the microwave yourself"
mum: "Oh. HAHAHAHA. Well, that's what children are for - to blame things on."

Prior to this, dad took out the trash and didn't replace the bag. So mum makes a comment about unfinished jobs, to which dad replies: "See lah, i told lynne to replace the bag but obviously she didn't. " Poor Lynne. Her only response is: WHAT ...

Ohh, such a riot to be living in this household .

Since I'm on a roll, thought i'd post some other photos up from the other day. By 'other day' i mean last Saturday ...

Mum & I spent about 5 hours un-knotting Samson & this is the result of our grooming session:

Today's weather was lovely. How lovely you ask? 22 degrees & sunny, that's how lovely.
So we packed a picnic basket filled with two tuna rolls, some mandarins, lindt (intense mint) chocolate, a flask of tea & biscuits. Hopped into the car & off we went to Heathcoate.

I daresay we had the best picnic basket there

Came home and watched the DVDs we borrowed: Pans Labyrinth & Stranger Than Fiction. Both really good movies! Wanted to watch Letters from Iwo Jima but smart me took the wrong DVD so we ended up with this documentary on Iwo Jima that had an introduction that looked like it'd been done on powerpoint. So no, we did not end up watching it.

Ho hum.
Tonight will be another night of fun, i hope. Let's just say I've never been a fan of dramatic nights. The key word for tonight is normal.

And, I am still buying too many things off ebay.

Unfortunately, i won't be able to post lots of the camp photos because there was a little mishap, but that's a-okay .

Haven't been in the mood to update or anything lately. All i can say is that i cannot stop ebaying & it's terrible !! The fact that i've been at home lots isn't helping either. Also, it's not my fault that my favourite sellers keep posting really nice things up .

Sighhhhhhhhh.
Constantly reminding myself that as much as i would love it to be, my bank account is not the magic porridge pot.
