it seems like i have a million things to do before i leave for s'pore on the 12th.
i.e. clean my room, wash the car, have a movie marathon with grace [violent/random/depressing movies, here we come!]

ok.

maybe not a million things.

well anyway, MERRY CHRISTMAS!
we had an early christmas family get-together today cos we won't exactly be together for christmas. and there was yummy food. as usual.

i am so low on cash at the moment it's not funny.
-sigh-
but stuff i have to get before i go back:
- pretty pink top from just jeans [i think it's just jeans anyway]
- shoes from cotton on [they're just black sandal-ish things]
- wilson's christmas/bday present
Target's having a sale on undies tomorrow!!
aarghh.
must exercise self-control.
it's not that i NEED undies, i just WANT.

hmm.
anyway, i'm off to go find some really cool lines from 'matrix revolutions'.
although my favourite one is still: "Yes... That's it, Mr. Anderson. Look past the flesh, look through the soft gelatin of these dull cow eyes and see your enemy."

gotta love that line.

and again.

|

testing.

|

i'll get those pictures of my haircut up soon!!

|

omg.
SWAT is such a cool movie.
i didn't think i'd be saying that. was a bit skeptical about it at first cos i don't really go for action type flicks. but surprise surprise. i liked it. and not only because collin farrell's in it. i must say though, there were a few hot guys in it. so there's a bonus. and there was a french dude ! he was played by olivier martinez. oo i like.
anyway, today was a good day!
got to watch a cool movie AND i got a pair of nice jeans from jay jay's.
gee i love sales. $19 jeans. *smiles*

well yes.
that was my nice day.
o! and i had a happy meal too.
'cept they don't have those o-so-cute little miss and mr men plush toys any more.
what a disappointment.

|

i loveeee my new haircut!!
i love how they blow dry my hair all straight.
anyway,
i've decided that i like 'cat empire'.
and if you don't know, they are this band.
although i don't know if they're aussie or not.
but i like them. they're quite cool.
had a listen to their cd today, but it's $30!
i am certainly NOT paying $30 for a cd, even though i really like their music.
so err, if they're selling it in s'pore then will someone tell me. please?

anyway, feeling hyper and more talkative than usual.
but not really in the blogging sort of mood.
so tooodles!

*p.s. we watched bits of the 'naked news' today. hahaha. it was strange cos i still dont' understand why people would get turned on by such ugly, naked people. i guess lonely, desperate people will get turned on by anything!

just gonna go take a shower now.

|

how irritated am i.
let's see.
VERY.
can't believe it's the first day i can wake up later and i wake up at 7.45am. yes. 7.45am. and the worst thing was, that i couldn't fall asleep again after that.
grrrrr.

|

it'll do for now.

new skin!

I'M FREEEEE!!!
at last.
no more school.
no more exams.
until feb 2004 that is.

well the human bio paper today wasn't too bad, the best one so far i reckon. one that i feel the most confident in. hopefully it'll be o k.

hmm. talk about gross and/or stupid things to happen during the exam.
yesterday during the intro calc [math] paper, i had the luck of having my graphics calculator go crazy on me! all of a sudden there were zeros (0) appearing across the screen and they wouldn't stop appearing! was kind of freaked out for a while cos i didn't know why it was doing that. and then i realised that it may be because some water got into the calculator. you see, my water bottle leaked into my bag before the exam. but thank gawd my graphics only went crazy after i finished the paper and was only checking it. *phew*
another stupid thing that happened was during today's paper. was done checking my paper so i was just sitting there looking at the clock and then i started wondering why i kept smelling this minty smell. it was only after a while that i realised that it was cos there was gum on my kneeee!! and i found this out when i put my hand on my knee and felt this weird thing. ewwwwwwwwww!! was extremely grossed out. thankfully i had tissue in my pocket to remove the gum off my knee, so i wouldn't actually have to touch it again. but absolutely disgusting stuff. how very irresponsible of the person sitting at that table before. *shakes fist*

anyway, i'm very happy the moment.
called grace just to say: 'i'm freee!'
AND
what better way than to celebrate with a brownie slice.

|

it's my last paper today!!
wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...

|

it's my last paper today!!
wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...

i'm in such a whiney mood at the moment.
english and accounting were both difficult papers!
the print comment section for english was sooooo terrible, probably not going to do very well. but one can always hope.
then there's accounting.
not only did the freakin' paper seem like it was never going to end, it was also hard!
*screams*

well, i have about 2 days to cram an entire years worth of econs and 3 days for human bio.
riiiitey-o.
of course it's my fault for not being more prepared, but hey, i'm not the only person who's slacked off.
apparently practically everyone else is doing the same thing!
lol.

anyhoooo, my hand really hurts and the weather's really nice at the moment. very tempted to take a nap. in fact, i just might.

Saturday, November 22, 2003

england won.
20-17
all thanks to johnny
-sigh-
disappointment.
australia was very closeeee...
o well.

hmm.
there must be something about saturdays.
never seem to be able to do much work on saturdays.
far tooo many distractions.
i.e. tv, computer...

well my first paper isnt' too far away.
finally.
i just want to get it done and over with!

|

after helping out in chinese school for a while, i've noticed things about little kids that are really funny.
today, it was that they're extremely easily entertained. especially by stamps. [i'm talking about those inky ones, not stamps for letters]
and i still marvel at how the little boys just seem to know everything about their silly pokemon cards or whatever. it's very funny to see them talking about what they can do: "o! do you have this one? it's got a special power..." and then there's always one boy who seems to have more cards than the others. he's the one who starts trading them - we can tell who's going tobe a big towkay when he grows up.

ha. little kids are so amusing.

|

just realised how irritating some people are.
i don't understand why they have to type LiKeEe thIss. *heEx*
aarghh!!
how retarded. someone should give these people lessons in typing properly.

my lips are dry.
oo and the rugby final is tomorrow!
i'm not really a rugby fan, but australia is playing the pomms!

|

oo k.
so i did make up for the lack of study yesterday.
i've decided that school is a much better study environment for me, at least there are less distractions. but the library is still awfully noisy. this morning, there was an english class in there while i was studying my english texts [how appropriate]. well from what i heard, they were going to have a class debate on the topic: is war ever justified
it was funny cos after an extremely noisy decision as to which group was doing what, the affirmative team had a girl who said very loudly, "what does justified mean?"
*tries not to turn around to see which girl said that*
but they were all so noisy, my gawd. you'd think that by high school these people would know that you have to be quiet in a library. but no, what am i talking about? these are annoying little aussie brats we're dealing with here. i also managed to eavesdrop on their conversations since they were sitting right behind me. but it was the usual. you know, boys and the all important question: what should i wear to tomorrow's party?

anyway, i think i'll stop ranting now.
and god dammit, my exams haven't even started yet!!
i just want them to come sooner, so that they will finish sooner.

really NOT in the mood to study right now.
so i'm going to procrastinate.
going to sit in front of the computer and eat my starburst snakes.
maybe not.
cos everyone seems to be going off. dammit.
is that some kind of cruel way of telling me to go study?!
well then, i will now go off.
but not to study.
looks like i'll have to go procrastinate some where else then!

first day of my study break: succesful.
i actually studied today!
half a cheer for da - *hip hip hooo*
decided to study more in the day time, since i'm going to be watching the australian idol final tonite. really hope guy wins, he'd better win. if not i'm going to doubt the australian public's taste in music/singers even more. can't believe that people actually think he's cute.. yuck. he's got a nasal voice and he's got that annoying little "goatee" thing. "goatee" because it's not even a goatee but i don't know what to call it.

well, still got stuff to study..
so i shall return to the books.
g'bye.

|

Tuesday, November 18, 2003

i typed an entry just now.. and then all of sudden, the laptop screen blanked out and then an error msg appeared. hmm.
sooo i shall retype the entry. hopefully i'll remember what i said.

it's officially the last day of year 11 !
no more classes till next year. *hoooray*
well alrite we still have exams, but at least we don't have to go through an entire day of school.
it really didn't feeel like the last day of school today. i s'ppose it was cos no one was really celebrating the last day, everyone seemed as if they were dreading this moment because the last day means that the exams are coming sooner.
people seem to be stressing. but i don't see the point in stressing, it's just wasting your energy. i guess it's easier said than done.
well today has been a happy day for me so far! my music lesson went really well, and i'm going to practice on improvising during swing band more. mr kelly is so talented! *gush* ooo! and we didn't do much in most of our classes today. more or less sat there and talked, and also happily receive chocolates from our teachers for workinghard and behaving this whole year. lol. riiiite.
we also had this guest speaker during RE and she's only about 20 this year [one of my classmate's sisters]. she came to tell us about her experience in India, doing voluntary work for mother teresa's sisters of charity. [i think that's what they're called] was really interesting, and i might want to do some sort of missionary work in the future. it sounds very fulfilling.

i'm going to try to make full use of these next few days before my papers on monday. try is the key word here. although i know that i'm probably going to be more productive in the night. just can't study in the day, get too distracted and then i start staring into open space for what seems like forever.

|

Monday, November 17, 2003

it's raining... !!
no, not men. just rain.
but i think this nite is getting better. well sort of anyway.
hmm. in case you're wondering, i haven't had any happy pills. i think this mood has got something to do with the chocolate mousse i just had. *smiles*
well, tomorrow is officially our last day of year 11. and after that, the torture begins. but hey, i don't have a papers till monday.
we were told to clean out our lockers by tomorrow, and since my locker is filled with so much crap i had to start cleaning it out today. hahaha. didn't actually realise that i had so much paper in there. but at least i found my accounting and econs notes from last semester! *yay* no need to re-write them like i thought i would have to.
anyway, i have just had the sudden inspiration to study. well to try my best to do so, cos after all, it's only 25 days till i go back to s'pore!! And on thursday next week, i will be freeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
hmm. exam time is definitely not a happy time for all. everyone seems to be getting cranky and irritable, finding it hard to smile and be cheerful. it's really not a comforting sight to see people stressing. but then again, i don't stress. last nite, i almost convinced myself that i would give up on studying for the exams. then i thought about it and decided that it wasn't worth it, i might as well tough it out. after all, that's what everyone else is doing. so i'm not alone. i guess it's a few things that told me not to give up:
- i got 73% for my english atb essay. one i thought that i would fail for sure, because i didn't feel to confident about it.
-talked to wilson and he made me feel less depressed about waiting 25 days to see him. [btw, thank you sooo much for that! *mwah* i don't know what i'd do without you. i'd probably be wallowing in self-pity.]
-the chocolate mousse has lifted my spirits. heaps. [thank you chocolate mousse! i don't know what i'd without you too. but i love wilson more.]
-the lovely weather that perth is currently experiencing. rainy weather is so nice.

so don't give up lynda, cos there's nothing that chocolate mousse can't fix...

|

there.
i've finished my econs investigation.
finally.
well, i'm glad that it's done and i'm not really expecting a wonderful mark because i know that i haven't put in much effort into it. heck, i didn't even know what i was talking about.
anyway, it's turned out to be a long night and i've come to realise how selfish i can be.

|

Sunday, November 16, 2003

this econs report is getting on my nerves.
*shakes fist*

|

Friday, November 14, 2003

our musical was a wonderful success!
very proud of our music class.
*beams*
and everyone said it was good. so yay for us.
had hot dogs and a can of coke after that, and now i feeel quite full.
so i guess no dinner for me.
maybe a snack later on or something.

well, today was our last official friday in school and it was spent in the best way!
the human bio girls [that includes me] went to the zoo for an excursion and it was really funn.
saw some really cute animals. i loved the meercats and penguins. very very cute.
but i didn't see that really huge crocodile [i think it's name is eric...]. hmm. wonder what's happened to him. but he's a really viscious croc though, apparently he ate his own leg and he had to be isolated because he ate the female croc which was living with him. and now he's not there anymore... = (

i think it's time that i start studying.
i should anyway.
really hate how my friends are extremely intent on studying and i'm not.
the other day my dad asked if i was coping alrite in school. well of course i am. i merely lack the enthusiasm to do hw and study.
shitee. just remembered that i still have to do that 1500 word econs report on an ASEAN country. and no prizes for guessing which one i'm doing [if you're slow, i'm talking about S'pore.] and it's due monday!! eeeks.
so not in the mood to study or whatever.
every time i try to start studying, all that happens is that i get distracted and then start staring into space.
really can't wait till the exams are over, then it'll be o k to stare into space and do nothing.

28 more days till i go back ....

|

Thursday, November 13, 2003

omg!!
the rock musical is tomorrow!!
it's based on the story of snow white, but we've all written the songs ourselves and the songs are pretty damn good.
i am extremely excited and i can't wait to perform.
*grin*
speaking of performances, the year 11 drama girls are soo good. their acting is superb, can't wait to see the production next year! and i'll always remember joanne's line: "i don't like that david fellow [strokes moustache]"
i think tomorrow will be a good day.
going to the zoo for an excursion too. but we actually have a purpose. because we're studying primates in human bio, the zoo trip is part of our assesment and we have to fill in a booklet which is worth 20% of our semester mark. so there is work involved, but as soon as we finish that, we can go wander round the zoo. *yay*

and i really have this urge to tell that stinky girl to get some deoderant. but my mum suggested that i get her bath salts, deoderant and other nice smelling stuff for christmas. i mean my gawd, summer's just round the corner... can't imagine what she'll smell like then. don't want to anyway. *shudders at the thought*
o yes and i just wanted to say that some people really don't look nice in fringes. theere are some girls in school who seem to think that they suit fringes, when they don't. and i find it a tad gross seeing girls with gross, stringy and/or oily hair. it's VERY disgusting and a major turn-off.
i just wish some people would learn personal hygiene...

|

Tuesday, November 11, 2003

39 degreeeeeeees!
*i'm meeltiiiiiing...*
i really think our school should start investing in air-conditioning for some of the classrooms. maybe not now, but for the sake of future students.
all we have is one fan in a classroom maybe? 1 fan to at least 20 over girls.
and, summery weather means that people start to smell.
especially a certain someone [read previous entry].
the human bio test today wasn't too bad, i knew how to answer most of the questions. but then again, that could mean lots of careless errors. a h well.
anyway, adit came to pick us from school today and he was really nice. dropped by baskin robbins to get smoothies/ice cream. opted for smoothies. mmm. the strawberry smoothie tasted very very good! and the weird guy works there full-time or something, seems to always be there. the poor guy, he looks so unfulfilled with his job. not a single smile, and he wasn't too attractive either. poor dude.

tomorrow is amy's birthday!
going to bake brownies for her.
hope they turn out o k.

|

Monday, November 10, 2003

i'm in trouble.
my human bio test is tomorrow and i'm trying to study, but nothing seems to be going in. -sigh- how annoying.
come to think of it, i think it's because i'm getting sick of whatever we're doing in human bio - primates, the human skeleton, comparing apes to monkeys and then apes to humans. ahh!! driving me nuts.
i mean it was interesting in the beginning when we started learning about them, but now, it's just getting on my nerves.

omg. this person in school is starting to annoy me. like REALLY annoy me. not only does she have extremely bad body odour, she also whines about everything all the time and is very immature. alrite, so maybe it's not really whining, but she complains about how extra-curicular activities will get in the way of her studying for the exams - which she never fails to remind us is next week! well of course we know the exams are next week! you see, this girl has been stressing about the end-of-year exams since last term for christs' sakes! and what i don't understand is, if she detests music so much, why did she want to run for music captain. And just cos she didn't get music captain [but then again, who would've expected her to. it seems her efforts to bribe ppl for votes were futile.], she didn't go for orchestra the next morning. gawd, how immature can anyone get! the childishness doesn't stop there. it seems that she thinks that she's quite cool rite now since she doesn't sit with the other geeks anymore, but she's still very out of place. so she tries to fit in by trying to prove that being a study-freak is cool. o yes, and did i mention that she has the most annoying laugh? and that practically everything makes her laugh? -sigh- i pity people like that. what is quite sad is that she doesn't realise that i don't like her much. but i still act civil towards her and i try not to tell her to her face that i find her extremely irritating and that she should just go walk off a cliff. no, i tolerate her cos i still have one more year of homeroom with her. but thank gawd she's dropping music next year. we will be spared from her for one less lesson!

well that felt good.
anyway, should be off to study again.
this time i hope that the information will actually be absorbed into my brain.

home-made popiah!
yummy yummy.
compliments to the chefs.
played mahjong just now, and my mum and auntie were really weird. okae, weirder than usual. lol.
"what did you just throw?"
"balls larh." [referring to the tiles, mind you.]

"hahah. sai sai. so many sai."
"eee. bird bird."

and fyi, these strange comments were followed by loud, almost cackling, laughter.
but today was a good mahjong day cos i won a few times.
*hooray*
too bad we weren't playing with real money though.

ahaha.
dyan just sent me a link: www.lynda.youarelame.com
very good webby for one's self-esteem.
i feeel so good about myself already.

|

Friday, November 07, 2003

*yay*
it's friday !
feeling very relaxed and carefree at the moment even though i have a ton of work to do.
o well.
wasabi peas are really niceee!
anyway, just going to sit in front of the computer and eat my peas.

|

Thursday, November 06, 2003

matrix revolutions is a good movie!!
and no, i'm not being biased.
my only complaint is that the ending is crappy, other than that, it's very good.
o but keanu is sill very stylish and coool *smiles* [in joanne's words: perfection.]
but don't worry, i won't ruin it for those of you who haven't watched it yet. just have one thing to say, listen out for some very cool lines.
btw, happy keanu day!!
today, the 6th of nov, has been declared keanu day.
i just have to clarify one thing, that i only like him the matrix trilogy and possibly 'sweet november'. and he also looks good with scruff.
anyway, still have english hw to do.
so i shall go.

Tuesday, November 04, 2003

big mac.
all that unhealthy macdonald's goodness.
mmm.
haven't had one in a while.

well 3 weeks till the exams and i have zero motivation to start studying. and i really should, since i have a whole year's work for me to revise for every single subject. why don't i just quit school and marry someone very rich ? then i wouldn't have to worry about working and then i can concentrate on things that i was never good at - painting and sewing. and i can even learn how to knit and line-dance! and when i'm not doing stuff like that, i can play mahjong with my other tai tai friends!

i'm supposed to be studying for my econs test on monday, but my excuse is that it's too hot in this house. especially in my room. okae, so why don't i just move ? hmm. i don't know, why don't i just do that. well alrite, i'm procrastinating. but hey, i'm really not in the mood to study any more! the heat's making me irritable and cranky and i can't study like that. and so, i'm just going to procrastinate for a little while longer.
hmm.
i sound whiney and ditsy.
yuck.
anyway, had to kick my younger sister off this computer cos the laptop isn't working. the screen's just gone completely blank. well the other nite, i decided to look for the manual but all i found was this 'safety and comfort guide'. lol.
and since i have some time, i'm going to type out some extracts from this 'safety and comfort guide'.

*ahem*

[there's even pictures to illustrate these key principles!]

Pointing Style
use your whole arm and shoulder to move the mouse, not just your wrist. Don't rest or anchor your wrist while using your pointing device [they mean your mouse]; keep your wrist, arm and shoulder free to move.

well i'm just going to stop here cos there's 41 pages worth of all this stuff, and i'm not about to type out everything. but just remember, if anyone needs to laugh, just let me know and i'll be happy to type/read extracts from the 'Safety and comfort guide'.
And remember, if you adhere to these tips then you'll be reduce the risk of seriously injuring yourself. Not only that, you'll also be more comfortable.
