i've just realised how soon i will be leaving for singapore & china ... feeling slightly sad at the thought of it, but then again, it will all be so exciting. being away for two months feels like a long time ... and i'm gonna miss all the Perthians i'm leaving behind.

Now that the other Loo children have gone to singapore and camp, i am sort of the only child. It seems that my parents aren't too bothered about what i'm doing or where i go during the day/night. I guess this is sort of a good thing? But at the same time it's quite weird when the conversation during the afternoon goes something like:

mum/dad : so what are you doing for dinner?
me : umm, eating with you guys?
mum : oh but dad's having dinner with his friends & i'm going out with Ee (my auntie). So you have to get your own, but if you can't find anyone then you can eat with us.

Turns out the people i asked weren't free, haha.

Today will be my first stay-at-home day in a while so i think i'll clean my room. It's the first time i'm in the mood to clean things, is it slightly weird that i'm excited about it? Yes, probably. Don't really mind being at home alone cos at least i can listen/sing to music as loud as i want, and nobody will care that i talk to myself.

Having said that, i miss my sisters - the house feels lonely and it's far too quiet. Lonster the monster comes home from camp tmr though :) she will probably smell too much like the outdoors.

Ooh, it's nearly 12.30 ... don't really know what to eat for lunch. It's 31 degrees today! I would sit outside to enjoy the sunshine, but Oprah will be on in half an hour ... Oh the choices ...

My weekend was pretty exciting, with the Little Birdy gig on friday night and then some shopping on saturday with julie, before a fun night out with everyone who finished exams.

The photos from Little Birdy are on grace's camera. We were pleasantly surprised when nobody told us off for taking photos of the performances. My only complaint about the gig was that 3 support bands is a bit much, cos after a while we got bored of waiting for what we paid for. Little Birdy is really good live! Was amazed at how Katie Steele managed to dance around so much on stage without falling over, given the height of her (very nice) red heels. She also changes guitars very often, i felt tired for the roadee (roady?).

Finally got myself a pair of grey jeans :D
Sent them in for alteration today and collecting them tmr! I am excited about wearing them for the first time, haha. All i can say is that the women who work at Jeans West in Garden City aren't too bright and friendly.

Saturday night started out a bit slow, but ended up being a really fun night :) Was good seeing everyone again! Hurrah for barfunctioning!

The working week starts tmr, oh poo. Just when i was getting used to doing absolutely not much all day. Ah well, at least i will be earning a decent amount of money this week and it will be my last week of work at Woolies schmoolies.

I'm really looking forward to my last week of work :D

i probably only understand about 50% of what i'm currently 'studying', which obviously doesn't sound very promising for tomorrow's exam.
Phonetics & phonology, oh how i hate you & you will not know how happy i will be when i walk out of the exam room.

i'm predicting that it will be a good night out, mostly cos i haven't seen Grace in a long long time - well feels like it anyway.

i'm just excited !!

submitted my visa application today at the Chinese embassy, which is only open from 9am - 12pm. what slackers. wonder what the hell they do for the rest of the day. i'm not surprised if they get paid for an entire day of work when they only work 3 hrs.

finished that bit up pretty fast & so it was still pretty early when we got to town. went to get tickets for the Little Birdy gig next friday :) something else to forward to, this is great!

since there was still time before meeting Yas's friends for lunch, went to check out the sale at Shafto Lane. tell me, how can a girl resist a sale ? i certainly can't ... i can just hear Yas muttering to himself, heh heh.

there were some pretty good vintage pieces & i got myself a dress in this nice shade of red and a white pvc belt that goes with it :D Yas reckons the pvc belt is tacky & reminds him of cat woman (even though i told him that cat woman wears BLACK not white, ahem).
IT'S NOT TACKY AT ALL.
anyhoo, i think i just got myself an outfit for next saturday's post-exam outing ... woot!!

doesn't feel like a friday night at all ... can't believe it's another day of work tmr :(
ahhwell, at least the new machines are fun to use.

i am so so so so bored with study ...
cannot wait for the fun.

got an email about a clearance sale in Shafto Lane that is happening on friday & saturday. since i'm working on saturday, perhaps i will go on friday? oh, might as well. will be going near town to get my visa for the china trip anyhoo! PLUS, there will be items on sale FROM $5 :D

better get back to the note-typing, at least i've made progress this afternoon. instead of procrastinating, i actually did stuff. i am so proud of me.

listened to one of their songs 'Anna Molly' & it's not too shabby.

The time is now half past five and on any other saturday, i would still be at work, wishing all the bloody customers would go home. The point i was trying to make is that it's rather nice to be home early :) Don't think they were too happy that i left at 1.30pm, but ohwell! I really did have to take lynette to the airport.

Some really odd customers came into Woolies today. One of them was this asian man in his late 40s & he reminded me very much of my dad - just the way he talked, not so much of how he dressed. I don't think mum or any of us would let him (dad) go out in a collared shirt tucked into his shorts and then white socks pulled up high.

i know it's study week, but i really can't wait for saturday !!!
managed to get out of my all-day shift & am only working until 1.30pm. i always look forward to a non-working saturday :) makes the weekend all the more enjoyable. the weather seems promising too, so i might go for a swim.
