happy australia day to nobody in particular ...
just got back from heathcoate (the place we went to see the fireworks) ... nette, adit and i got there around 1 something to 'chope' place. but the aussies appeared to be more kiasu than us ... i s'ppose everyone just wanted to get a good spot. well we thought we got a pretty good spot and it didn't appear to be too sunny ... until the sun moved that is. so we kind of just sat there for a few hrs. baking. now nette and i are sunburnt! (juuuust a smidgeon ... ) and i think my burn will eventually fade away and not become a tan. as usual. grr. well it's kind of unbelievable to think that tons of ppl arrive in the afternoon to get a good spot just to see half an hour of fireworks. lol.
was just a bit annoyed cos when it was about to start, the ppl sitting in front of us started to all stand up ! i mean it would obviously make more sense if they remained seated so that ppl behind them could enjoy the fireworks too ... but nooo. silly ppl. ppl with their children sitting on their shoulders and what not. sheesh. o yes, there was this particular well-rounded (fat) girl who decided to STAND on an eski (esky?) ... therefore blocking the ppl behind her. and what made her look stupid-er was the fact that she had a major wedgy and she kept dancing. (someone brought a radio so that we everyone could hear what was going on in the city) super irritating, that girl.
anyhoo, that was our day ... quite eventful. i'm quite hyper/happy now. i think i have the coke and coffee to thank. haha. and i'm wearing my new rainbow-coloured stripey boxers !! *grin*
o yes, and a marvellous day for the aussie tennis players: hewitt and philippousis. haw haw. both of them lost ... hmm. don't really like them anyway. so happy that federer beat hewitt and now he's through to the next round !
alrite. i will be off now ... gooooodbyeeee ...
