today was an unbelievably good day ! and so yes, i'm in a great mood at the moment *grin* well let's seee, the retreat today wasn't as bad as i thought it would be ... it was actually quite funn and it was ALOT better than last year's retreat that's for sure. today's retreat was run by the same ppl who do Dangerzone (d...d...d...dangerz..z..z..z..one. yes that one che.) anyway, the day went by really quickly and we did all sorts of stupid things. lol. lots of silly games and some interesting talks. so yeah. was quite an enjoyable day ! the people who were running the retreat were heaps more fun and interesting than last years' bunch. and they were actually funny, well some of them anyway.
got back to school close to 3.30pm and then we had another band rehearsal. AND something annoying happened just before the rehearsal started. well you see, i went into mr k's office to get my trumpet (which i had left there before sch this morning, as usual). except this time when i went in that little room to get it, it wasn't there ! so i went to ask him and then he realised that perhaps this year 8 girl must have taken the wrong one home.
it all started when she went to see him about her trumpet, cos apparently the valves kept getting stuck (maybe you need to actually WASH your trumpet, you stupid girl). sooo he told her to leave her trumpet with him and he'd see what he could do about it. in the meantime, she could take home the school one to practise with. and since all our trumpet cases are the same, she just went and took MINE home ! but you see, my trumpet case actually has this yellow duck tape with my name in black on it ... i mean, how can you not notice that it has someone else's name on it ?! well at least he told her to switch the mouthpieces, and i really hope that she did ... anyhooo, mr k went to give the girl, emily, a call to let her know that she took the wrong trumpet home and also NOT to touch it. you know what, i have yet to meet an emily that isn't annoying and/or stupid. hmmm. ok, 'cept maybe emily howell 9she's quite nice). but the other emilies in school are really irritating. -sigh- i really hope that she didn't play it or anything ... cos it's MY trumpet. i bought it. had to make do with the school trumpet and i swear, there was an odd taste in my mouth when i started playing. *yuck* so i just didn't play it after that ... hmm. starting to get withdrawals ... cos i'm bored and have nothing to do.
well yes, that was my day ... it's not over yet though. i'm sure it can only get better now. hopefully. hehe. after all, it is yet another friday ... really can't believe that tmr's the ball either ! it's just come so fast ... getting kind of excited now actually and i hope that nothing goes wrong tmr. so i will take lots and lots of pictures !
anyway, msn's screwing up on this computer and so i'm going to restart it (the comp).
