anyhoo, we have a mothers day present (for mother, duh) . yipee :) we were walking round subi and saw this new candy shop. it looked very pretty from across the road so we went in and sampled some SALTWATER taffy. eeeewwww, it was awful. tasted like the .. sea.

egads, my left index finger is trembling. how very odd.

so the youngest sister turns 13 today, which makes her a teenager now. haha. for some odd reason, i always think she's turning 10 every year. hmm. anyhow, more overeating and this time i wasn't the only one!

stuff the loo family consumed today for lynne's birthday dinner:
- steamboat (okae so it wasn't actually charcoal. daddy kept saying "eh need more heat bits anot? heat bits! heat bits!" although the way he said it, it sounded like heat beats)
- marshmallows (toasted using the fire from the heat bits)
- birthday cake (queen silvia with vanilla ice cream)

mmm. soo much food ...
and we're having a popiah party next week too, so it coincides with mothers day :)

ooh yesterday's episode of Rove was great. haha. the cat empire and michael buble, all in one show! felix riebl is so yummy - another one to add to my list.

wearing my whaa hapen jumper now. heheh. good times! really miss those girls.

i can't believe alice managed to drag me into signing up for Assasin. lol. if you don't know what it's about, read this:

ahah here's an odd fact (thanks to mandy) : apparently toilets in australia flush backwards. meaning that the water goes anti-clockwise but the toilets in france for example, flush clockwise.
ok so she says she learnt that from simpsons ... so grace probably knew that already.

yesterday was quite an eventful day:
went to the city to have lunch with grace & the eng. people, tina and then later on nic and justin came to join us :) was so happy cos i got a new uni bag for only $12 from Accessorize ! and it used to be $40 as well - what a good buy!

it was also the day we realised that nic would make a very lovely girl, and that he has taken to carrying lady's handbags/purses. (esp. if they're pink)

quite sad though, cos the il gelato place in northbridge is STILL closed (stupid people...grrrrr) and so we had to settle for gelare instead. there i had a banana split all to myself, which satisfied my craving but also left me feeling extremely full.

wasn't planning to go out at night but then sam, beewee, felix and alice were going to the movies and asked me along. we watched 'amityville horror' - it's really quite scary. hahah. lots of those surprising bits and the story itself is kind of creepy. although i don't understand why people insist on buying such a house when i'm sure they must have felt something odd the moment they stepped in. ANYHOO, i thought it was a pretty good movie.

went to alice's after to talk and stuff. haha. yes, stuff. soon everyone got sleepy and so we all slept over. many funny stories from last night ! ahahha. except a certain someone really got on my nerves and was freaking everyone out with the odd topics of conversation. it's times like these that the phrase 'stab & twist' sounds very inviting.

anwayyyy, having nasi lemak and fried chicken wings for lunch :) yummmmm ... today shall be yet another one of those unproductive days i guess. although i do have work to do for tmr's french tute. arghh i hate going to those, it's such a waste of time with that bizarre (and probably senile) english tutor.

ok that is all.

fell asleep on the bus ride home and now i'm refreshed ! i think i had a dream cos when i woke up i remembered hearing someone's voice a few minutes before. lol. saying something about nothing having enough money. hmm.

well went to uni to watch the film 'Kolya' for the european studies tute next week and i must say that's the best film we've watched so far for the unit. it's a really sad movie but it's so good :) i really liked it and the little boy who played Kolya was very cute.

argh. i always buy starburst sour gummi worms and then regret it, cos i realise that i don't actually like them. lol. yes yes, shut up. be quiet all of you ! but yeah, if anyone would like the rest of my sour gummi worms don't hesistate to ask! they're not contaminated, i swear.

okk i'm officially going to lose my voice - it's already squeaky/croaky and it goes all funny when i try to talk loudly. hmm, seems the old ailments are returning cos my nose is all blocked AGAIN! geez. i'm trying to sniff the boogers but i can't and so i'm getting a headache.
BUT OH WELL.

ah i want to go for a picnic ! if anyone is up for one, let me know and i don't mind organising stuff :)

the asia fresher function's over !! awww. well it was pretty fun :) dj dannyboi's really good and things were a little slow at first, cos everyone was all shy and refused to start dancing.
2848456 photos and a few cups of bubble tea later, people started to dance and stuff so it got more fun.

and yes, as with most functions in northbridge, a fight broke out. surprise surprise. kind of ruined the mood for a bit cos people started leaving and stuff. after a while it was ok again and we continued dancing. hahahah. now my feet really hurt ... and i think i'm losing my voice again. grrrr.

the day was going great - i.e. funny moments (eric and i waiting for felix to choose his bloody shoes "but i don't want to wear this pair la! make my feet painful...") , many many photos, funny people dancing ...
AND THEN these (other) stupid bastards had to ruin our lovely night.

bahhh . shall not talk about it anymore. makes me irritated just thinking about it.
oh well anyhoo, bed time i think.

yipeee i am now the proud owner of a red tube ! haha. ended up dyeing a white tube red :) so woohoo !
yeahh so this is how sad my day was - that was the highlight of my day. hahah. did i mention that i got red dye everywhere?? (including my front teeth) i really don't know how that happened but it was amusing for the rest of the family cos lynne had to clean it off for me.

tonight has not been a very good night at all. actually it was, until recently. you see i updated my msn to the new msn 7 (whatever that is) and then it LOST all my contacts for me. well thank you very much msn 7, you suck and i am extremely angry with you. so POO TO YOU !!

which reminds me, i should probably get back to my linguistics assignment before i lose the drive to do as much of it as possible tonight. i was going so well too !

btw, i'm also sad cos my supposed friends are not going to the asia fresher function on thurs!! and no i'm not purposely guilting you guys into going, i'm merely expressing my sadness and disappointment. i realise you guys (grace and stef) have tests but this might be the only one you go to !! i highly doubt you will go next year cos you will no longer be a fresher, so if you change your mind you know where to get tickets from !! if all of your fellow engineering ppl go, then it'll all be good :) it's only a few hrs and you guys can de-stress together. i mean the other ppl going have tests the next few days too - i.e. nic, sam, julie, alice, beewee, kim ...

everyone seems to have had a bad day today.
nette and her lousy day at work - due to some annoying children pouring sugar and water on the floor.
lynne who had her PE bag stolen.
then grace, stef and i whose bus went the wrong way and so we ended up getting home later - even though the 740 is meant to be faster than the 940.

OH. and ticket sales for the asia fresher function are a little slow at the moment. waited outside the octagon this afternoon cos many asians do FA. haha. well at least now many people know about the event, hopefully they'll buy tickets in the end.
ahh well, it's only the 2nd day of ticket sales anyway.
but seriously, some asians can be so stingy, unfriendly and anti-social.

oh and also, i earnt $60 from helping grace's dad to sell salad dressing on sunday at that lifestyle fair. heehee, lifestyle fair.
apart from some creepy perverted men, there was one (yes, and only one) cute guy. haha. he walked past our stall and then we later found out that he was from this other stall selling pizza ! we only found this out cos he came by later on bearing free woodfired pizza :) it was really nice. and no, i'm not just saying that cos the guy was cute.

i also discovered the joy of freshly baked cinammon and sugar donuts. mmm ... they were so cheap i bought 6 for the whole family. haha.
mm ok, enough about food.

today was very uneventful and i just felt sleepy all day. our french tutor is such a bizarre old english man. lol. he's so disorganised and teaches us random things all the time. i keep thinking his name should be dr. humperdinck or something - don't ask why.

ohh and i saw alan sharland again today. if you didn't get that, then read one of my previous posts about mr sharland and his beloved boxes. anyway, he was wearing the same clothes as last time and had his sunglasses on inside the busport building. hmmm...

the driving lesson went pretty well despite the rain. i didn't even stall today !
hmm. but i wish it would stop raining .... was supposed to meet nic and sam in the city today. aaargh. tis the last day of our break and it rains !! how crappy. the weather report says there are possible thunderstorms and hail. -sigh-

i must say though, it's kind of interesting to watch people trying to walk down to the shops. poor things, just stay home if you don't have a car or can't drive!!

anyhow,
good news though (for me, that is) :
my nose is starting to drip less and my throat doesn't hurt anymore. yay, on my way to recovery at last.
perhaps this horrible weather is urging me to start my chinese essay. hmm. i think i shall. might as well be productive if i'm gonna stay home.

oh and one last thing, please pray for the pope. he's really ill and apparently he's been giving the last rites.
