MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

|

Thursday, December 18, 2003

greeeeeeeeeeeeeetings all who read this!
alrite, well it's been almost a week since i've last used a computer so right now i'm quite happy.
this is kind of weird, seeing as how i'm blogging in s'pore.
well i don't really want to bore everyone with a run-down of what i've been doing since i came back here, so i won't.
just wanted to say hi to everyone.

grace:
hellooooooooooooooooooo there gracey wacey!!
got your emails. hahaha.
thanks for the official countdown. i know i can always count on you for some completely random and almost useless information.
speaking of which, hows the research on greek/roman mythology going ?? you must tell me all about it when i get back o k ??
and i'm going to watch lotr: the return of the king tomorrow !!

nette:
hey che !!
thanks for helping me check my school results.
hope everything's going fine at home!
miss you lots!!
and i overheard mum telling dad that you're working every day until christmas ??
ooo .
well hard work, but you get money !!

ook then.
i think i will end hereee.
goood bye all !

i'm supposed to be waking up in... 3 hrs and 15 mins.
but i'm not tired. yet.
i don't really feel like sleeping. yet.

maybe i'm too excited to sleep. maybe.
o i dunno, whatever it is, i just don't feel like sleeping.
although i probably will for a while, cos it'll be the last time that i'll be sleeping in my nice, comfy bed. for a whole month anyway.
i still don't really believe that the day that i have been waiting for is finally coming. wow. actually, it's already here. *looks at clock*

dinner at nando's tonite was really good and i'm not trying to sound cheesy here, but it must've been the company. was really nice just to have a meal with my 2 sisters and adit. after dinner we rented 'the fight club' [*squeals* edward norton!!] and headed home for my birthday pavlova. yes you heard me, my birthday pavlova. was quite yummy really, and it was quite special. i mean, since it wasn't the normal birthday cake. i'm sure not many people can say that they had a birthday pavlova. anyway, tonite was also the first time we used the new popcorn machine. [it makes popcorn you dimwit] was quite exciting. and thanks for getting the popcorn machine adit, or 'crazy popper'. at least that's what i think it's called anyway. thank u!! the pop corn was yummy-licious. well it turned out that it was only adit and me who ended up watching 'the fight club'. lynne just went off to bed and nette thought that it was too violent for her. but it wasn't that violent actually, i thought it would've been worse. kind of liked the movie though, i thought it was rather interesting.

hmm.
well i think that's all that i'd like to say right now.
just thought i'd share my fun birthday celebrations with whoever reads my blog.
i might just go off to bed right now...
sleep is always good.
isn't it?

well, this'll probably be the last time i'll be blogging for a while. might drop by once in a while to blog a little, so still feel free to drop by and leave msgs on my tagboard o k !

quite excited about tomorrow!
this time time tomorrow, i will be back in s'pore and i will be in town. [*yay*]
o and wonderful news, our luggage isn't overweight - which is a good thing of course. it's actually quite the opposite, considering that there's lynne's stuff and mine.

and thanks for the birthday wishes too!
got woken up at like 9 something by some early birthday wishers - i.e. amy, mum, dad and tina.
very thoughtful, but i got woken up earlier than i wanted to.
got some really nice presents:
-stripey bikini from my dearest seeester lynette
-chet baker cd from adit
-cat empire cd from grace
-this nice little scrap book thing that grace made for me, and it has pictures of my favourite hot guys. o and some pictures of us as well of course. i like it alot. thanks grace ! *smiles*
and she came by to give it to me personally too!

today has been a good day.
but of course, what am i talking about?! it's my birthday! birthdays are meant to be happy occasions. well usually anyway. unless you're one of those women who get depressed when they hit 30 and then start to hate celebrating birthdays after that. i don't want to be one of those women. so please slap me if i do become one of those weird, whiney, unfulfilled women.

anyhooo, we're going off to dinner at nando's!
*yumm*
goodbye all.

i'm 16!
happy birthday to meee !

wheeeee!!
michael buble is coming to perth in april'04.
i really really really hope i can go and that tix won't be too expensive. well i'm going to start saving now anyway.
but if i don't go, i will be missing an almost one-in-a-lifetime opportunity cos hardly anyone cool comes here to do concerts and stuff. i bet half of performers who come here to tour hadn't even heard of perth or something. hmm. well maybe i'm exaggerating, but it might be true.

well i've packed most of my stuff already and i hope that my luggage won't be overweight or anything. lol.
anyhooo, feeling kind of sick at the moment.
i think i might have eaten a littlee tooo many wasabi peas...

*p.s. i'll be 16 soon!!

|

oo k.
i think the computer is starting to screw up...
aarghh.
was trying to copy a cd on to the computer just now but the thing kept hanging and making weird noises. grrr.
anyhoo, i'll be going offline soon to start packing.
omg!!
going back on friday !!
and friday is 2 days away!!
very excited.
can't wait to see crys and dugong [maybe dyan too?] on friday!!
and i definitely cannot wait to see wilson on friday nite !!

today was quite a bumming-around day.
basically spent almost the entire day watching tv at grace's house. but we did get some exercise...
walked to the video store to return the videos and i also walked home from her place. so there.
but whoaa... 3 whole hrs of 'who's line is it anyway'! lol. she taped it o k. so we just thought we might as well watch it.
we also watched 'psycho' - the remake, not the original one. the original one wasn't available at the video store. but still, it was pretty good. and viggo mortensen [that's aragorn] was in it too, 'cept he loooked weird and had a southern accent. hahah.

hmmm.
i think i like this new tv drama 'nip/tuck'.
it's quite coool. very intriguing.

well, going to start packing tomorrow.
i really should start. it seems i have ALOT to bring back.

whoaaa.
my feet are aching,
i'm feeeling slightly wooozy
and i'm listening to my new 'cat empire' cd.

well today was our last city trip for this year!
had quite a slow, subdued start to the day cos i was kind of sleepy and my sleepiness kind of rubbed off on grace. we also planned to go to 'harbour town' - this new factory outlet place somewhere in the city. it turned out to be quite a disappointment and most of the stuff there was terrible. now we know where all the 'reject' clothes go to. and by 'reject' i mean the clothes that we never buy. yes, they all end up at factory outlet places like harbour town where they are sold for like less than $10. i think the best place was still 'jay jays' and i managed to get a $15 top from there. saw joanne and told her about the crappiness and that she shouldn't get too excited about the stores.

o! thank you to grace cos she bought me my first birthday present today. thank you so much for the cd grace! = ) listening to it now and i like it. and i still think the trumpet player is very good. cos he is. was just thinking about it today, and i realise now that 2003 has passed by relatively quickly. i mean even though before it seemed like the year would never end, it is now ending. it is now december[which incidentally is my favourite month of the year!], my birthday is in 3 days and i'm going back to spore in 4 days! finally. something i've been looking forward to for such a long time. well, the day is finally arriving.

anyway, was kind of broke today even though i thought i had planned out my finances for today. well it must have been because we kept getting approached to donate money and stuff. so grace and i bought a $3 magazine each called 'the big issue', and the proceeds go to helping the homeless and the disabled so why not. all for a good cause anyway. but it's unbelievable how fast your money runs out. i mean, you think that you brought lots of money and then all of sudden you're left with nearly nothing! it also seems that i always end up borrowing money too. -sigh- as much as i hate owing people money. ah well.

i don't actually think that we walked that much today. hmm. yet my feet are kind of hurting. but i must remember to wear proper walking/shopping shoes next time. oo i really like the cd! *smiles*

"well hchello hcello..."

i have finally washed the car!

now msn is screwing up and refuses to sign me in. grrr.

|

Saturday, December 06, 2003

oo k, so i was just giving myself a facial and was thinking of stuff to blog about...

well if you read my previous entry, you would've read that i watched the movie 'elf' today. it was a pretty lame excuse for a movie [but then again, it was a kids' movie and it's rated G], and i felt like kicking myself after it was over cos we could've just gone to watch 'texas chainsaw massacre'!! i mean, i would've much preferred seeing people get killed. hmm. i think the whole christmas spirit thing kind of got on my nerves. while we're on the movie thing, i also realised that today was the last movie EVER that i get to pay a child price [which is $9.50]. yes, i will be 16 in... 5 days! well i s'ppose i could be cheapo when i feel like it, and if we're watching a G movie or something then i can just ask for a child ticket instead of a normal student ticket. cos i mean hardly anyone is going to believe that i'm 16, they look at my 11 year old sister and think she's older than me! [i must say though, she is rather mature-looking for her age] but the good news about being one year older is that now i can actually go for body combat without it being illegal. [*curses at stupid woman*]

i also started thinking about my trip back to s'pore. and i think one of the first things i'm going to do, is to get my eyebrows done. yes, i'm going to go with dugong and anyone else who wishes to join to get our eyebrows done. the good thing is, it's only gonna cost about $5 or something - about a third of the price i would have to pay to get them done over here [in perth that is]. cheaper is always a good thing!

o yes. i also need to try to procrastinate less. i did say i would wash and vacuum the car a few days ago, but then i didn't end up doing it. my excuse? it was raining! alrite, so the rain is a stupid excuse since the car is parked in the garage where the rain is unlikely to affect me. i was just procrastinating o k. but i think i WILL wash and vacuum the car tomorrow since i probably will have nothing better to do. even better if tomorrow is a hot, sunny day. cos water can be quite refreshing on a hot, sunny day - for the car and for me.

well i think that was about it.
yeeah, pretty pointless thoughts that i just typed out. but hey, i had to think of something while i was waiting for the face mask to dry since i couldn't talk. the face mask would crack you see. and besides, nobody would want to talk to me with that mask on my face anyway [it's quite scary i think].
anyhoo, goodbye all. i'm quite done now.

|

today was a good day.
went out and i actually bought stuff!
wasn't just one of those window-shopping trips.
very very happy at the moment.

managed to get wilson's bday/christmas present and i even got a 30% discount just for waiting in line. you see, the guys in front of me were taking really long cos there was a problem with the credit card machine thing and so the ladies were really nice and gave me a discount just for being so patient! so *yay*. and then after that, went to 'just jeans' and bought myself this pink stripey top that i've been eyeing for quite a while. to finish off the nice shopping trip, i went and got myself a new hair brush. it's one of those proffessional hair brushes that hair dressers use. very good for styling and everyday use.
so happy with my purchases!

o and we watched a movie today as well - 'elf'.
please don't go wasting your money cos it's not as funny as it looks. it's one of those happy-feel-good movies. geez. well yes. apart from that, today was a good day.

doesn't feel like a saturday at all...

|

Friday, December 05, 2003

feeling nauseous.
and it's not a good feeling.

|

ho hum

|

bahhh.
it's raining!
and i've only been up for about an hour and 45 mins.

|

Thursday, December 04, 2003

haha
thanks for helping to fix the teensy problem/s up gil!
= )
your assistance was greatly appreciated.

well today was yet another fun-filled day.
o k, i lie.
that's a bit of an exaggeration but we watched more movies today!
there was an abstract one - 'he died with a felafel in his hand'. interesting movie though, turned out to be quite sad.
and then there was 'the guru'. jimi mistry! what else is there to say.
finally, 'hardball'. alrite alrite, extremely cheeesy movie but hey, keanu's in it! need i say more? although like grace said, it was a bit strange seeing him in so much colour.

and i did try to sell my books in school today cos i was trying to avoid allowing the stupid parent council to sell them. they get 10% of the selling price for crying out loud. how annoying. but i just find it stupid how some people want to buy their books new, when it costs so much more. might as well get them 2nd hand and save some money. plus, the people you buy them from get some money too!

well that's all for today.
ranting makes me tired.

Wednesday, December 03, 2003

so annoyed with that stupid lady at the counter at melville aquatic.
really.
stupid woman.
the body combat gods must be against us or something.
our 2nd attempt to do some exercise has been foiled, once again.
yesterday because they changed the time table of the sessions and we followed the old one, and so there wasn't body combat at 6pm.
and today, we couldn't go in because i'm not 16 yet. i'll be 16 in 8 days for crying out loud! tried to explain nicely to the lady that we didn't know about this rule and today was the first time that we'd ever heard that there was an age requirement. but no, she wouldn't listen and refused to let us in. i mean as far as we know, we've been going for body combat way before this. and that was even before grace was 16 but nobody said anything! they usually look at our student cards and still not say anything so that's why i was so peeeved.
well headed back to grace's house after that to watch movies.

today was the day of ewan, hugh and johnny.
-sigh-
and so after the initial uhappiness, all was good after because we had ewan, hugh and johnny.
hmm. well the movies we watched were kind of sappy but i wasn't cringing or anything. okae so i'm not a sappy movie type of person, but today's movies were o k. mostly because they had guys in them that i liked.
i.e. chocolat had johnny [he had a cool accent and he was very yummy. wasn't he grace?]
moulin rouge had ewan [whoa. that voice is just sooo... wonderfully charming? lack of better adjectives here]
kate and leopald had huge [!!! i want a leopald too!!!]

so yes.
that made the day better.
anyway, it's dinner time and adit made risotto so i'm going to go now.

|

Tuesday, December 02, 2003

o and i seem to have lost my archives!
has anyone seen them ?

|

i'm having one of those laze-around-and-be-subdued days.
but i did manage to clear old books and stuff from my room.
hmm.
i don't know why i'm so subdued.
one of those weird days, cos even watching tv made me bored!
not even the usual 'passions' made me want to watch tv. in fact, today's episode was quite boring actually and it was more pointless than usual. more pointless, but less funny than usual.
oprah was a bit disturbing.
today's topic was domestic violence and they talked about the warning signs of husbands/boyfriends turning violent and abusive. they also featured some cases where the husbands/boyfriends got so jealous and possesive that they killed their own wives/girlfriends. mostly by shooting them and in some cases, shooting themselves after that.
quite tragic really.

well today was also my last trumpet lesson for the year.
won't be seeing mr kelly until next year! probably feb or something. [that's a really long time!]
and i don't even know if i can bring my trumpet to s'pore with me, cos we'll be staying in a flat and i don't know if the neighbours will appreciate me practising. maybe i will bring it anyway. a month without my trumpet is a mighty long time! poo to them if they can't appreciate it, i say.

*yay*
going body combat-ing with grace at 6 later on!
exercise is good.
then probably going to the airport to send my mum off.
she's going back to s'pore already!
o well, 10 more days till I go back.
you hear that?
TEN MORE DAYS!

|

Monday, December 01, 2003

i just remembered what i wanted to vent about, so here goes.

well nothing is more annoying that having to endure an entire bus ride home from the city, sitting in front of two VERY smelly men. yes, that is part of the reason why i hate summer. why? because summer is when people start to smell. and not only that, summer means the arrival of flies. flies which fly ON to your face.

yes.
those men were very smelly so it was really horrible. men with b.o - yuck.
and to make matters worst, there was a freakin' traffic jam!

anyway. i'm done now.

|

went to the city today after gawd knows how long.
it's probably been more than a month since we've last had a city trip! and that's a really long time. hmm.
well didn't manage to buy lots of stuff today, since i'm broke. as usual. but i did manage to buy a 'swing' cd with lots of swing band tunes that we play in school. and for only $10, so i am very happy.

o! and i found the 'cat empire' cd in jb hi-fi - $20.80. alot cheaper than in the other music store, but still no money. and so it'll be a while until i can get it. unless of course someone wants to get me a birthday present. *hint* *hint*

grr.
we missed 'that 70s show' just now!
but it's on four days a week, so *yay*
o yes and GILMORE GIRLS is back on tv toooo...!!
